What is COMMUNITY MASSAGE?
I’m glad you asked! Community Massage is clothed bodywork offered in a semi-private community space—usually a lobby or event setting with simple partitions for comfort.
In my own healing journey, bodywork became one of the most impactful tools after surviving a traumatic car accident. It turned into an absolute staple for my well-being. This is not a luxury. This is not a want. This is a NEED. I truly believe everybody needs bodywork, and Community Massage is my way of making it accessible to everyone—even the folks who say, “I can’t afford massage.”
Sessions are ideally 30 minutes and focused on targeted areas of concern. Shorter sessions are available, though they’re not quite as effective. Because we work fully clothed and without oils—using fascia release techniques—we don’t lose time un******ng and redressing. That means more time hands-on and more time supporting your body’s natural healing.
If you’ve always thought massage required oil, you’re in for a surprise. Fascia release techniques are incredibly effective for chronic pain, musculoskeletal issues, lymphatic flow, and more. Using oil actually reduces the traction needed to work with this unique connective tissue.
If you’ve felt intimidated by the idea of un******ng for a massage, there’s no need to. The best clothing is loose-fitting cotton—sports bras for ladies and shorts for men work great.
While longer sessions are always recommended, Community Massage is a wonderful way to get meaningful relief in a short amount of time without breaking the bank.
My goal is to offer these pop-up events once a month. In December, you’ll actually have two opportunities to experience Community Massage:
• This upcoming Sunday, December 7th, 10am–2pm
Savor Sundays Brunch at Mountain Lotus Yoga in Truckee - First come, first served chair massage.
• Next Sunday, December 14th, 11am–3pm
Specialty Lounge Hours at The Alchemy Space in Truckee - Only 5 spots available—please sign up early!
