Good morning everyone! Yesterday, we had a wonderful outing at the El Rio Open Space Preserve in Marana in partnership with the Tucson Audubon Society! We were able to spend about an hour observing 25 species before the rain came, including a Cooper’s Hawk who put on a little show for us.

Hello everyone! SAAWR is participating in El Tour de Tucson's Nonprofit Partners Program this year, which is happening THIS WEEKEND! As a nonprofit partner, this means that participants are able to ride (or run/walk) to raise funds for SAAWR. To donate, please go to https://www.pledgereg.com/southern-arizona-accessible-wildlife-refuge .

All funds raised will go directly to SAAWR so that we can provide better accessibility to nature outings. These funds will allow us to provide interpreters for the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing, transportation vouchers for those who are unable to drive, and adaptive equipment for use during outings. So please donate today!

The El Tour expo will be open at the Tucson Convention Center beginning today, at noon, through Saturday at 5:00 pm. Stop by and say hello!
