I see a lot of coaching focused on healing a broken heart after a toxic relationship. The truth is it’s deeper than that.

Toxic relationships are traumatic. They are painful. Toxic relationships can be soul crushing. Devastating.

The impact the relationship has had on your physical and mental health is just as important.

I have spoken to countless women and they have all admitted to seeing and ignoring the flags that presented during the dating stage.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You may ask, "Why would these women ignore the warning or sometimes flagrant flag that is before them?" It's simple for love and companionship. I know you have been crazy in love at one point or another. Love is a basic need we all desire. A need we all crave to be fulfilled. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, the issue becomes when we seek to fill that void with men who do not have the capacity to love. Toxic, narcissistic men that only take advantage of a woman's desire to be loved. In the end, leaving her heartbroken and left to pick up the pieces of her life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I know the pain that comes with making the decision to leave a toxic relationship. I stayed as long as I did because I didn’t “want to break up my family.” You may be questioning right now if you made the right decision. I want you to know that you have. You deserve to be loved and cherished. I know the pain that comes with making this decision but I also know the peace.

Imma say something that you might not want to hear. You have to forgive! I know you may not want to forgive but it is necessary for your healing process. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know he lied. I know he cheated. I know he broke your heart. I know he made promises that he had no intention of keeping. I know the pain you experienced or currently are experiencing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some will tell you that you have a right to be unforgiving. And I disagree. Forgiveness is a requirement for healing and having the relationship that you need. You will not experience the love you desire without forgiving the one who hurt you. Unforgiveness is toxic and leads to bitterness. It will contaminate your chances at true love and intimacy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Make the decision today to forgive. The love you desire depends on it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This is not an attack on online dating! So you online dating warriors don't come for me! This is an attack on the belief that it is okay for a woman to pursue a man.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Call me old-fashioned but, I am not seeing many women winning when they shoot their shot. Of course, there are outliers but in the grand scheme of things many women are coming out with their hearts broken. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When you shoot your shot there are some vital things you miss versus when he approaches you. The first one being if he's a go-getter. When he purses you, it shows that he has the ability to go after what he wants in life.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

He is showing confidence. He is showing vulnerability. Depending on his approach he could be showing respect, kindness, and care. Why would you want to miss out on that? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Often we asses how good God is by what is going on with our lives. If we are winning then God is good. When we are in the valley we question if God is with us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

But I want to tell you that whether you are on the mountain or in the valley God is good. Whether you are in a season of peace or it feels like all hell has broken out around you...God is good.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Be careful of the timing when a man tries to reenter your life especially if it ended on bad terms. As women, we romanticize the return of a trash lover as "maybe he changed".⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Let me go ahead and tell you...he didn't. He probably is bored or in between women and just trying to see who he can get to occupy his time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
