So Sebastian is putting weight back on. No talks if a NG tube today in clinic. Little bird is making tiny steps and that's what matters.

Two organizations that have brought smiles to not only Sebastians face but to my daughter and she tries to understand what's going on with her brother at the age of 7 is Joy Jars and Courtney's Courage.

The first few days that we were on the oncology unit the volunteer for NEGU which creates the Joy Jars asked me my son's age and my daughters age. I was a little taken back but I responded puzzled but minutes later they had brought in the Joy Jars and smiles, fun and laughed ensued as my children opened the Jars to see what was inside. In this sad and extreme stressful time we were able to forget and take a break from the severity that our reality had taken us to.

The second was the charity called Courtney's Courage. Where it's a charity to bring joy to kids going through cancer and their siblings. Again we were blown away and again in a time of just feeling completely lost were able to find joy in the moment. The smiles on my children's faces are priceless and will be cherished.

The many charities that rise out of situations of complete despair and carry on to help children find smiles and joy as they embark on their fights against cancer can not be thanked enough. These charities go above and beyond to help children and their families.

The absolute joy that I was able to find even for the smallest moment in my changed reality will be forever in my heart. This journey is new to us and will be a long one but knowing that I have organizations and people I can turn to for support have made a world of difference.

So our little bird made it through round two of Chemotherapy and is home resting. He's been asleep almost the whole time. They use benadryl as a anti nausea medicine so he's resting good. When he is up he's a little fussy but overall happy.

He got his full diagnosis of intermediate risk neuroblastoma and thankfully was not bumped up to high risk.

He will have imaging done before his next round of chemo to see how his tumor is responding and giving us an idea of when he will be able to have surgery to remove the tumor.

It's been a stressful few weeks waiting on the final pieces of his diagnosis. We also had to take a trip up to Phoenix to have his audiology screening done.

Little bird you made it through your first dose of chemo. Your sleeping soundly gearing up for the fight of your life. Mama is here by your side.

Just talked to the oncologist and because of everything he has a favorable outcome. We are still waiting on the gene profile of the cancer cells to do a full prognosis. My baby boy is starting chemo tomorrow.

Sebastian underwent a bone marrow biopsy the other day and we just got the results back from pathology. NO NEUROBLASTOMA IN HIS BONE MARROW.

Good news in this horrible ordeal my child has to go through.

A page dedicated to Sebastians journey. He was recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma. This is going to be a long and tough fight that I will be walking side by side with him as he battles this disease.
