Let’s talk about decluttering. I remember a few years back when I started to meditate, I was very annoyed and discouraged. Despite that my app Headspace gave great instructions, I had adopted an idea that I can learn how to control and eventually stop my thoughts, or that inner dialogue. Since it was an impossible mission, at least for the beginner, you could imagine my frustration.
Only later with practice and education, I was able to get to a deeper understanding of what meditation is really about. I’ve learned that it is a tool that helps to develop the most valuable skill - the skill to control my attention.
Nowadays everything and everyone is trying to get our attention - entertainment, media, brands, social networks, politics, small businesses, large corporations, etc. And I was giving away mine so easily.
Only recently it struck me: my attention equals my time - seconds, minutes, hours of my life. I realized that I let the newsfeeds blindly steal from me the most valuable resource. Of course, I've heard things like "time is money", "prioritizing is important", "value your time", and so on. But deep down I've never applied or even experienced it. I was always distracted and "busy".
Meditation helped me to win my own attention back. As well as to start developing a habit of asking myself a question every time I intend to do something: why am I doing it right now? Of course, it becomes possible only in those moments when I am aware and present.
Besides mediation, I’ve tried many other techniques to clear my emotional and physical space. And recently I came across something truly incredible in terms of inner decluttering and energetic up-leveling. I’m finishing a uniquely powerful course “I am worthy” created and written by amazingly gifted Desiree Mangandog, a Classic Five Elements licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. I will definitely share more about it in my posts and stories.

Recently I've realized one very important thing that I want to share with you. We tend to look at our path to success as a straight line from A to B, gradually and perfectly going up. When in reality we have a different scenario. It’s more of a broken line gradually going up. Understanding it let me revise my perfectionism and overly high expectations, and be more into a process rather than a result.

What do I do in those moments when the success or progress line is breaking and dropping down? Once I am aware of it, I can step out of self-judgment and my stubborn habit of pushing myself even harder. And see what I truly need at this moment. Usually, it is rest, or self-care and self-nurturing. A pause, a good sleep, or a massage and a healthy meal. We tend to push so hard towards what we need, that we forget about our journey, and under-appreciate, how far we've already got. And besides, we forget that we can’t actually get anywhere once we are exhausted, out of balance, or experiencing deep frustration and self-doubt.

On days like this, I find time to take a walk, or I just seat for a while in silence without touching my phone and simply observe my thoughts, and watch them calming down.

So once you find yourself in one of those moments, try to slow down or stop. And do something for yourself. You would be amazed by how the next day turns out. Or even same day a new idea might come to your mind, or you might see your current project at a completely different angle.
❓ What is your favorite way to slow down?

Leave behind

How often do we get stuck in our old thoughts, in our outdated automatic ways, in our past? All our body cells renew completely every few years. But our mind holds on to so many unnecessary things like painful memories, expectations, desires, fears, relationships and even people. It was an important question to ask myself: why do I hold on to it? And how do I let go? While sometimes it seemed almost impossible, so hard and painful.

It’s a very broad topic, so in this post I will share just a couple of tools. As many of you know in the past year I’ve changed my life completely. Getting divorced, moving across the states from NY to California, getting married to a wonderful man and starting 2 businesses one of which turned into a hobby. Additionally I’ve got diagnosed with chronic anxiety, changed my lifestyle, found my path and lost over 20 pounds. I’m sure you can imagine, how hard it was to leave so much behind. So… How did I manage it?

First I had to really look at what held me back. Each physical thing that I owned. What do I really hold on to, when I keep in my apartment, in my personal space? I got rid of most of my stuff.
Much more work as you could guess was to see what I hold on to in my head and in my heart. Some part of me believed that I am my mistakes, I am what I’ve “gained” (whatever it might be: friends, traveling, certificates, diplomas, great moments, etc.) The truth is: it’s might be a part of me and my past, but it’s not what I am. Coz I just am. Whatever, whoever I am today, in this moment. It was hard to absorb it at first. Because our society teaches us to think differently.

In this process of letting go I haven’t necessarily gained that widely desired freedom. There is more work to be done. However, I was able to free up some space. I finally got some room for more energy, inspiration, new adventures, creativity, silence and even serenity.

my friends know me as a very positive person who jokes a lot and loves to tell stories.

but as everyone else I can feel stuck, deeply sad and even discouraged sometimes.

as a kid i was very curious about the world and also very sensitive to global problems. i’d spent a lot of time thinking about what i could do when i grow up to help. with a very serious face.

and when i turned 10, i faced my first life challenge. i lost almost all hair on my head for the unknown reason, and i had to wear a wig for 6 years. i felt so uncomfortable, insecure and scared. and i had to still go to school and interact with other kids. so i started learning at a very young age how to suppress my feelings and pretend that i’m ok.

I somehow managed to stay very social and make great friendships for life. , thank you for making me feel safer, valuable and lovable 💖 you have no idea what it meant to me!

at 16 i was so happy to get my hair back. and I decided to forget that nightmare. however, at 30 I realized it doesn’t work that way. we carry all our suppressed emotions and feelings till the last day. unless we find the courage to face them, acknowledge them and set ourselves free. until then we can’t know what’s really controlling us. we can’t know who we really are.

there are many technics and practices to do it nowadays. so i tried. it did get painful and exhausting. but then I got to feel like I’m getting a pair of wings behind my back.

it’s a process. it takes time. but sooner or later I might be able to fly.

so why wait? try it now. it’s liberating. 🦋

📖 ‘The way out is in’

‘Human experience may be stimulated or catalyzed by external situations, but the source is within. Pain or pleasure, joy or misery, agony or ecstasy, happens only inside you. Human folly is that people are always trying to extract joy from the outside. You may use the outside as a stimulus or trigger, but the real thing always comes from within’.

🧠 ➕ ♥️

Our mind can be a great computer, an ally and serve us well.
The only thing is that most people are not aware that they are completely controlled by their minds.

Our heart can be in sync with the mind, and lead us to great things, best decisions and creativity.
The only thing is that most people got completely disconnected from their hearts.

There is no question whether your heart is trying to talk to you. It always sends signals. And it would never stop trying to reach you.

The question is… Are you ready to listen?
Can you wake up? Could you be open? Would you be willing to trust it?

I’ve noticed that the opportunities behind the word “friendship” opened up for me in a beautiful ways in the last couple of years.
It’s not only about talking openly and sharing everything with those few very special people, whom sometimes you might see not more than once a year. 🗺
Now it’s also about creating something together, working, brainstorming and inspiring each other. It’s collaboration and common projects. And it is so amazing! 😄
One of those special friends of mine for many years have been Victoria Branson. It’s so powerful to see your friends grow and learn to give to the world their best!
I value deeply investing in education and self-development. So I’m super excited to take Victoria’s newest coaching program! Victoria Branson - Life Coach

Now question to you, guys! Who works with transformational life coaches?
