Stretches and vocalizing can lift the burdens of secret-keeping & fawning.

Making exaggerated facial expressions and silly noises can bring out your playfulness, reminding you how wonderful it is to have fun.

Arm swings can settle the busy monkey mind.

Breathing deep into the lungs and letting hot air spill from the mouth with sound lets tension evaporate.

Guided by Somatic Practitioners Hannah Demuth and Katt Townsend, LCSW, TIYT, you’ll learn practical tools from Somatics and Internal Family Systems to:

✅ Soothe your stress responses (fight, flight, freeze, or fawn) so they no longer run your life.
✅ Release tension and emotional overwhelm stored in your body.
✅ Feel more grounded, present, and supported—every day.

Dancing, trauma informed yoga and somatic hip exercises can be SO supportive to a stressed or frozen nervous system.

Hip movements send signals to the brain via the vagus nerve and helps the feel-good hormones: oxytocin, serotonin, dopamine and endorphins flow.

For chronically stressed out people, hip movements that are slow and relaxing or fast n’ fun may help relax the mind and body, leading to changes in neural networks associated with trauma.

No wonder we feel better after a 10 minute dance party!!!

Parts work informs self-talk by reflecting inwardly and reducing the thousands of thoughts we have into specific categories and their parts.

It helps you (the Self) to separate from the parts of you that are conditioned to think, feel and behave in ways that attempt to keep you safe…

So often I hear clients say that rest was viewed as laziness in their childhoods.

They needed to be rewarded with affirmation and approval when they rested, worked and played— bc when that happens, we internalize that being our fullest selves is acceptable.

What do your inner-kiddo’s need to hear most now that you’re the loving adult in their lives?
