BIG NEWS from TherapyWorks! 🦘

We’re excited to introduce the newest member of our therapy team… our Therapy Kangaroo!

After careful research, we’ve discovered kangaroos are experts in jumping, balance, and core strength—making them the perfect assistant for physical therapy sessions.

Kids will be able to practice hopping, coordination, and movement skills alongside our newest therapist. Plus, the built-in pouch is perfect for carrying therapy supplies!

Appointments with our kangaroo specialist are already filling up fast. 😉

Happy April Fools from the TherapyWorks team! 😄

Messy play uses materials like sand, shaving cream, paint, or rice to explore different textures and sensations. It helps children develop important skills such as language, communication, imagination, social play, and fine and gross motor abilities. Messy play can also help reduce picky eating. It can happen outside, at a table, in the bath, or even during mealtime. 🧠🎨🙃

💚 Wear Green for Cerebral Palsy Awareness – March 25 💚

On March 25, we invite our community to wear green in support of individuals and families affected by Cerebral Palsy.

Through play, children build skills like balance, coordination, and body awareness. Play also encourages kids to keep trying, solve problems, and challenge their bodies in new ways. That’s why pediatric therapists often use games and fun activities—because play is one of the best ways children learn and grow. 🎈

If you’re a parent, you’ve likely experienced your child having a meltdown—and it’s not always easy to stay calm. Your reaction matters though. The part of the brain responsible for emotion and impulse control is still developing in children. They learn to regulate by first being regulated with a supportive adult.

Check out our latest blog post by Mrs. Ryanna, OTD, OTR/L!

Learn about emotional regulation in kids and how co-regulation can help them navigate big emotions and transitions.

Our Story

Working wonders in children's lives, TherapyWorks offers pediatric therapy services at our outpatient clinic in Tulsa and provides on-site services at several schools in Northeastern and Central Oklahoma. Starting back in 1981, TherapyWorks has grown from school-based therapy to Tulsa’s premier therapy company with an outpatient clinic providing four different therapy treatments. Through decades of growth TherapyWorks has trained and employs some of the best Therapist’s Oklahoma has to offer. Our state-of-the-art clinic has the newest equipment for children’s therapy, providing over 12,000 SF of treatment space. Our facility offers Physical, Occupational, Speech and Feeding Therapy for pediatrics. Within the clinic there are three gyms (two Occupational and one large physical therapy gym), a fully-functioning kitchen for multiple therapies, and numerous rooms for speech and private therapy sessions.

From toddlers to teens we have been working wonders in the lives of children across Oklahoma for over 35 years and counting. Our highly skilled and specialized therapists work together to provide a total treatment approach. They can provide a full evaluation, treatment as needed, home programs and orthotics fitting to develop and build the skills needed to overcome challenges and surpass expectations. TherapyWorks offers specialized treatment techniques and programs such as FloortimeTM, Handwriting Without Tears® and many others. Every Friday throughout the year, TherapyWorks provides aquatic therapies for our patients. In the pool we provide occupational, physical and speech therapy at the recently renovated Tandy YMCA.
