Valentine’s Day has wild origins—think ancient Roman rituals with goat skins and matchmaking lotteries! The church later made it about Saint Valentine, who secretly married couples (love me a rebellious Saint!) and wrote the first “From your Valentine” card. (Check out the history online!) Now, it’s all cards, chocolate, and flowers—but shouldn’t love be celebrated every day, not just February 14th? As Bono says, “Love is a temple, love the higher law.” I suggest we use February 14th as a reminder, not an obligation or to participate in commercialism, to share love with everyone we care about. ❤️

New year, new you—because why not? When December 31st slides into January 1st and you’ve got those glorious vacation days, it’s prime time to grab a snack, kick back, and ponder all the wild plot twists of the past year (and maybe sketch out a few for the next one). Cheers to pressing the reset button—again!

Let’s take a victory lap and look back at 2025—not to dwell on what slipped through the cracks, but to celebrate wins, big and small, and give ourselves a high-five for growth! Forget the “shoulda, coulda, woulda”—this is a time to reflect on what made us proud. If you set some 2025 goals, now’s the moment to see what you crushed and what might need a second chance in 2026. Take my own goal for example: playing mahjong with my sister-in-law. Did I do it? Yes… just by the skin of my teeth (shoutout to Thanksgiving Day for the save!). If I hadn’t made it, I’d simply ask myself—do I still want this on my list, or is it time to switch things up?

Now, on to resolutions! Honestly, “resolution” sounds awfully serious—like you’re swearing an oath to the universe. And when you trip up? Total letdown. I’m all for picking a few life areas—hobbies, work, finances, relationships, home, health, family, spirituality (the list goes on)—and asking, “Where can I mix things up?”
Then, dream up one to three goals for each area that genuinely excite you. These should be things you want to do, not things you feel you have to do. For instance, if “health” is on your radar, maybe you join a kickball league just for the fun of it. Movement + joy = winning combo.

Looking ahead, one of my 2026 goals is to grow my practice and connect with even more awesome folks each week. I’ve leveled up with a new office, freshened up my schedule, and added more appointment slots. I’m mapping out next steps—including more posts on this very business page—to make it all happen.

If you (or someone you know) want to kickstart your 2026 with personal growth, self-discovery, and better mental health, I’m here for it! Let’s find what matters to you, figure out your values, and chart a path to get there. Make this the year you surprise yourself, stare down your fears, and dare to be even better. Adventure awaits—let’s go!
