Valentine’s Day Special 💘
Mani + mini pedi for $35. Today only.
Come sit in my chair and let’s summon something pretty and slightly dangerous.
Before pastel candy hearts started whispering sweet nonsense, mid February belonged to Lupercalia. Think purification rites, fertility frenzy, and Rome shaking winter off like a wolf shaking off snow. It was earthy. It was primal. It was not made for greeting cards.
Then enters Saint Valentine, tangled in legend. Maybe he secretly married soldiers when Claudius II banned them from love. Maybe he passed a forbidden note signed “from your Valentine.” Either way, that is deliciously rebellious energy. Romance with a side of treason.
By the time Pope Gelasius I placed February 14 neatly on the calendar, the older magic was still breathing under the floorboards. The church tried to tidy it up. History rarely stays tidy.
Red and pink were not always cupcake colors. They were ritual. They were blood. They were heat in the dead of winter.
Birds pairing off in mid February inspired poets to declare it love season. Nature said couple up. Humans said we can monetize that.
And that amethyst ring carved with Cupid that Valentine supposedly wore? Amethyst was believed to protect against drunkenness. Love, but lucid. Power, but precise. That is my kind of charm.
There is always a story. Then there is the story behind the story. Then there is the version you were allowed to hear.
So while I buff your cuticles and paint your claws in shades of siren red, fairy pink, or wicked wine, remember this: even the softest holiday has feral roots. Even the prettiest ritual once had teeth.
Stay curious.
Ask why.
Polish your nails.
Sharpen your mind.
Today only. $35.
Let’s make it fun, flirty, and just a little bit villain-coded. 🖤✨🩸
