We had a special visitor today for some pet therapy: Kivi the cat! This is her 3rd time here, and she now recognizes some of her favorite residents and enjoying seeing them all. It got a little tiring at one point, so she had to lay down for a little rest. But then she was back up and exploring rooms and loving on people. She will be happy to come back again soon!

We had an "Eyeball Hunt" with little plastic eyeballs hidden all around the public areas. Some were in pretty sneaky places. Marilyn won by finding a whopping 24 eyeballs! Great job, Marilyn!

You can vote for one letter (residents) and one number (staff) by commenting "vote" below the applicable picture. Only one vote per category per person will be counted.

We are getting into the spooky spirit at Meadow View! Some of the residents picked out some Halloween decorations for their doors and I helped put them on today.
(Check the comments for pictures of a few of the doors we did. It won't let me attach them all here. Lame!)
Every resident has their name written on a special ghost hanging out at the top of their door, so everyone has at least a little spooky touch. I marked out the names on these pictures for HIPPA reasons.
This picture is the door to my activities office. I get a little extra about holidays sometimes. Lol
Stay tuned for pictures of some of the special Halloween season activities we are having. Including actual Halloween day, there will be 19 different spooky activities!

Every month we have a party! For September we had a fall party with the theme of "Pumpkins vs Apples".
We had spiced apple cider, pumpkin spice hot chocolate, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and diced apples dipped in caramel.
After sampling the snacks and drinks, we played a game where each person threw the tiny versions of their team mascot (Pumpkins or Apples). Different buckets were worth more points. The team with the highest score added up won... Team Pumpkin took the prize!
To finish up our party, we decorated pumpkins. Stay tuned for pictures of them so you can vote for your favorite!
