We are staying safe and warm indoors while enjoying cozy moments together, yummy meals, and relaxing as we watch the flurries outside. 📚✨ What an AMAZING Book Club Event! ✨📚

We had a truly wonderful turnout for our “We’re Booked for a Good Time” Book Club Event! The room was filled with laughter, thoughtful conversation, and a shared love for reading that warmed our hearts.

We were honored to welcome guest speaker and author Lisa Holcomb, who beautifully shared her journey as a writer and the life experiences that inspired her poetry, fiction, and non-fiction works. She also shared valuable information about upcoming events, book clubs, and writers groups available through our local library—encouraging everyone to stay connected and inspired through literature 📖✨

We were especially proud to celebrate our very own Lifestyles Director, Petrice Young, as an upcoming and first-time author! She recently published her debut book, Let Me Speak—a powerful story of hope, healing, and victory. Watching our community cheer her on was truly special 💙📘

The event wrapped up with a lively Q&A, where resident book lovers shared favorite authors, genres, and their passion for reading—reminding us of the beautiful connections books create.

We raised a toast 🥂 and shared a dance 💃 as we welcomed the New Year together. We took time to reflect on all the wonderful things 2025 brought us—including new additions to our families, lifelong lessons, and new neighbors who became friends.

We also shared our New Year’s resolutions, from eating healthier and saving more money to making new friends along the way. ✨
