Featured Rider of the Month: Olivia Pratt
Olivia recently won the Area V Championships, with her partner, Fernhill Beautiful Boy🥇She was also on this year’s Area V Young Rider Championship 1* team, with Ardeo San Diego, that earned the gold medal🥇🏆
Olivia’s experience juggling 2 horses, her win at Area V Championships, and Young Rider Championships in Maryland:
I absolutely love having two horses because I feel like I have learned so much. They are quite literally polar opposites of each other, but equally amazing. Wicklow absolutely adores jumping and I feel like I’ve grown so confident in my skills with him. Beau is fairly green to the eventing world and has only been in the states for about a year, but he is such a naturally beautiful mover that it has truly helped my dressage skills more than I could have ever expected.
The Area 5 championships were so fun. I had a bit of a slow season so the championships were the perfect way to end the season in Area 5. I’ve had Beau for almost exactly one year and we’ve grown so much together. I could not have been more proud of him and his performance at the championships. He is truly a fantastic horse and just knows he will accomplish some truly incredible things as he matures and learns the eventing world.
I loved the Young Rider Championships. The venue was spectacular and my favorite part of the whole experience was working with Karen. She’s a truly amazing coach and I still implement the lessons and exercises we used in my daily rides!! Wicklow was fabulous in Maryland, he handled the pressure of a new environment so well and I am so so happy with how we’re growing as a team. He is truly the most incredible Horse I could ever wish for.
Special feature of what she’s up to now:
As I said, I had a bit of a slow season in area five this year so I’m planning to spend the next three or four months on the Florida eventing circuit. I’m so grateful for my Parents for supporting me and I know both my horses are ready for this exciting opportunity!
Congratulations Olivia!
