Didn’t know how it would be to support a Mama and her family after the passing of my daughter. It’s been over a year and I still desire to do this work with even more passion. Every birth is special to me but this one was a beautiful experience and I was honored to be part of this little man’s journey to earthside!

Wheww! It’s been a whirlwind in my career path and personal but Alas I want to shout out this birth!
First and foremost i am so honored to have been part of moms journey. After six losses, failed IVF, The Good Lord saw fit to bless this family with their Godsent!
I remember going over birth plan with mom and she revealed baby boys name and it’s to no surprise he would be named strong, powerful!
Mom carried so many doubt and fear during this pregnancy but that would not prevail! I reminded her that she will meet her son and he was destined for a time as this! He came into this earth fighting to be here. Roman you are special to me!

Happy BlackBreastfeeding Week to my melanin sistas and Happy World Breastfeeding to all mamas. This year breastfeeding has a new found place in my heart and will forever! Im glad to be part of an organization that aligns with me to build community with my melanin sisters and make a difference one mama at a time! Put me in a room with a lactation mama and we just may be breastie!
I’m passionate about all things maternal health and will advocate daily for our rights as women to provide the most nutritional food to our young!!

I salute all moms that have held on. It’s not easy but it’s doable and rewarding! Can I get a comment to all my mamas who are devoted to providing the most nutritional food to their young’s with a “breastie”. Meet me in the comments.

Happy New Years to my peers and all the amazing mama I will meet and have met during my birthwork journey in 2021. I am so inspired by each and everyone of you that I have encountered whether it be on this platform or personally!
Motherhood is a journey that continue to evolve and develop! May I be part of that journey with you in this new year!

While I have a few months before my maternity leave. My team is still open to serve you all.

I have no words for how this birth went! I am simply amazed everytime I get to witness and be in such a sacred space! This time I got to do it with the newest member on my team!!! did such an amazing job assisting this mama!

Hi Y’all!!

It’s been a while... so much has been happening I have been serving moms in a different capacity and throughly that I’ve obtain more experience in the birthwork world while being behind the scenes.

It’s more than supporting moms and families during pregnancy, childbirth, sometimes loss.
ITS BUILDING A COMMUNITY!

What was just a vision became reality and it’s UP from here!! I was able to gather 12 Ladies and serve and pamper them for a brunch outing. “I left full physically and emotionally Nerlande” was one of the few words I heard at the end of this event.

“I was empowered in my role as a mother” was another.

It’s beyond supporting moms in the home, hospital, birth center or through video chat. It’s the touch and agree and sisterhood that is NEEDED!

So while I believed this to be bigger than me, I have hope that this will be MINDBLOWING from here on out!
