Let's talk about FIBER! 🍎🥑🥦🥬🍞🫘

This often-overlooked substance plays an interesting role in hormone metabolism.

🤓 Here’s how it works:
Fiber, especially from whole plant foods, helps your body eliminate excess hormones — particularly ESTROGEN. Once your liver processes hormones, they’re sent to the gut for removal. Without enough fiber, these hormones may be reabsorbed, leading to imbalance.

✴️ Benefits of fiber for hormone metabolism:

▪️Binds excess estrogen and other hormone byproducts so they can be excreted

▪️Feeds beneficial gut bacteria, which play a major role in estrogen regulation and detox

▪️Supports blood sugar stability, which helps regulate insulin — a key hormone tied to weight, inflammation, and reproductive health

▪️Improves bowel regularity, so hormone waste doesn’t linger in the body

There are two types of fiber:

🔹Soluble fiber (like oats, chia seeds, beans)

🔹Insoluble fiber (like leafy greens, seeds, whole grains)

❗Both are important — and most people need more of them.

Aim for AT LEAST 2️⃣5️⃣grams of fiber daily, from real, unprocessed plant foods.

Have you set your intentions for the week?

Don’t overlook how critical mindfulness is—it’s not a “nice to have”; it’s a pillar of both health and success!

Take a moment today to breathe, reflect, and set clear intentions for the week ahead.

A few simple ways to get started:
📝 Do a brain dump—get all the thoughts and to-do’s out of your head and onto paper
✅ Make a short list of priorities or goals for the week
📓 Journal what you’re proud of from last week—and what you want to create next
🧘‍♀️ Take 5-10 minutes to sit in stillness and check in with how you feel

When you’re mindful of your goals and intentional with your energy, you shift from just surviving the week to moving toward what truly matters.

Morning natural light isn’t just pleasant; it’s scientifically essential. Exposure to at least 5 minutes of natural light within the first 15 minutes of waking helps synchronize your circadian rhythm, the internal clock that regulates sleep, hormones, metabolism — and brain function.

Early light also signals your brain to stop producing melatonin (the sleep hormone) and boosts healthy cortisol and dopamine, which sharpen alertness, motivation, and focus. 🧠

It also stimulates serotonin production, improving mood, emotional resilience, and cognitive performance during the day — and later converting to melatonin for better sleep.

Even a few minutes of sun on your skin helps your body make vitamin D, which protects neurons, supports memory, and reduces brain inflammation.

So step outside for several minutes each morning, no sunglasses or glass in between, and let the sun wake up your body and your mind.

Natural light exposure in the morning helps reset your circadian rhythm, which regulates your sleep-wake cycle, hormone production, and metabolism.

Just 10–20 minutes outside (without sunglasses) can:

🧠 Boost serotonin, improving mood and focus throughout the day
😴 Increase melatonin production later in the evening, helping you fall asleep more easily
📉 Lower cortisol levels (stress hormone) at the right time of day, which supports a calmer nervous system

Let’s talk hydration! You msy be drinking lots of water…but are you actually hydrating?

Mobility is our body’s ability to move freely and easily—and it’s something we often take for granted…until we don’t have it.

I have personally noticed decreasing mobility over the past few years. I even just purchased a mobility class to turn this around (yes, pun intended 😉)!

We tend to lose mobility over time due to inactivity, injury, aging, or simply not moving our joints through their full range of motion. But here’s the good news: you can maintain it—and even get it back.
