BAYADA Habilitation Pennsylvania Habilitation is a BAYADA Home Health Care specialty practice.

BAYADA Habilitation in Pennsylvania provides individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live comfortably at home and stay active in their communities with independence and dignity. It is the education, support, and assistance to enable clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities to acquire, maintain, and improve skills related to activities of daily living in order to function as meaningfully and independently as possible in the community.

At 18, Bob made a decision that shaped his life. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and served from 1971 to 1975, including time in Alaska during the Vietnam era. He shares that the military was the first experience that truly made him proud and helped “straighten me out,” instilling values that still guide him today.

After returning home, Bob focused on family. One of his favorite memories is a road trip to Cape May to mark the start of basic training, complete with stuffed hot dogs along the way.

Through our Salute to Service Program, we recently honored Bob with a pinning ceremony recognizing his service and the pride he carries forward every day. 🎖️

We were honored to serve as judges at the UrbanPromise MLK Speech Contest, where students from first through twelfth grade shared powerful messages of courage, justice, and hope. ✨

Each speech honored Dr. King’s legacy and celebrated Black History Month. The confidence and heart these young leaders showed reminded us the future is bright.

During her first twelve weeks with BAYADA HICU®, Zaamira’s care team balanced her complex respiratory needs with big developmental goals—gradually transitioning her from full ventilator support to a heat and moisture exchanger (HME) during waking hours while coaching her mom through every new milestone.

Because her care path was tailored to her story, her needs, and her home, she celebrated her first birthday where she belongs—at home—stayed out of the hospital, and quickly moved into crawling, pulling to stand, and exploring the outdoors with her mom.

Rukiya leads our BAYADA Global Support Center Community Service team, which recently volunteered at Providence House to help set up a Galentine’s Pop-Up Store for their clients. The team sorted clothing and Valentine’s themed items, including tumblers, dish scrubbers, makeup, and more.

The Galentine’s Pop-Up Store celebrated friendship and honored female empowerment, helping survivors feel special and appreciated. One client shared, “I can actually look decent at my job. I always feel like I don’t look like I belong in an office setting.”

The team had a wonderful time collaborating with our friends at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton and was grateful to make an impact on their clients. Thank you to our partners at Providence House for welcoming our team. Thank you to Rukiya, Moira, Cheryl, Marlena, Anna, and Brielle for showing up for the community and sharing so much love while embodying BAYADA’s commitment to serving others.

Clients from our BAYADA Habilitation, Pittsburgh, PA office recently competed in the Special Olympics Allegheny County Bowling Tournament. Our team members were proud to cheer them on, celebrate every frame, and connect with neighbors who wanted to learn more about the care we provide in the community.

Our BAYADA Home Health Care, Fort Wayne, IN – Skilled Nursing office created a Hearts in Action Committee made up of some of their incredible nurses. They recently came together for pizza, laughter, and crafting, creating handmade Valentine’s Day cards for their clients.

Bob is a Navy veteran who served in Vietnam. He was recently honored with a veteran pinning ceremony by BAYADA nurse John from our Warminster, PA hospice office through our BAYADA Salute to Service program. Our team members were humbled to hear Bob’s stories from Vietnam and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifices he made and the hardships he endured. His family shared how meaningful this ceremony was to them.

At BAYADA, we honor each veteran’s story, sacrifice, and service with dignity and gratitude. Thank you, Bob, for sharing your journey and welcoming our team into your home.

Moebius syndrome is a rare condition that affects the nerves that control facial expression and eye movement. In honor of Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day, our client Jackson was celebrated at school with a special event just for him. His care team and family joined together to honor him and help spread awareness.

We are so grateful to be part of his care team at BAYADA, and we are incredibly proud of his nurses and home health aides who help him feel safe, supported, and seen every day. ❤️

This milestone was made even more special through the collaborative efforts of Integrity Home Care + Hospice and Birch Pointe Health and Rehabilitation, who partnered to create meaningful mementos capturing Miller's life stories and photos.

Did you know that October is Fire Prevention Month? Here's some tips from the American Red Cross to keep you and your loved ones safe!:

❗Install smoke alarms on every level of your home, inside bedrooms and outside sleeping areas.
❗Test smoke alarms every month. If they’re not working, change the batteries.
❗Talk with all family members about a fire escape plan and practice the plan twice a year.
❗If a fire occurs in your home, GET OUT, STAY OUT and CALL FOR HELP. Never go back inside for anything or anyone.
