BAYADA Habilitation in Pennsylvania provides individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live comfortably at home and stay active in their communities with independence and dignity. Meet David, a high school senior who is already turning his passion for helping others into a career in care. Through our BAYADA Pediatrics, Towanda, PA office, David recently completed a BAYADA home health aide training class. At the same time, he is earning his Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate through a Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) program — a big commitment for a busy student who is focused on his future.

David chose BAYADA to gain real, hands-on experience caring for individuals in the comfort of their homes. One of his goals is to attend nursing school, and this training is an important step on that journey.

We are proud to support David as he learns, grows, and discovers his calling in nursing. Congratulations, David, and thank you for choosing BAYADA to be part of your story.

Our Advance to LPN Program is now the Advance Through Nursing Program. It's an enhanced program allowing our BAYADA caregivers to advance their careers into a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN). Since 2022, we had the honor of supporting about 200 caregivers into advancing through their nursing careers.

One ordinary morning, a BAYADA home health aide noticed something was “off” with her client. Instead of brushing it aside, she trusted her instincts, took action, and got her to the ER, where a serious UTI was caught and treated early.

That’s the power of BAYADA’s Enhanced Quality of Care. It brings daily attention, clinical oversight, and caregivers who are trained to spot small changes before they become big emergencies.

Winter can be especially challenging for clients with limited mobility, particularly when snow and ice make it hard to leave home safely. On a recent visit, BAYADA Home Health Aide Edilyn noticed that her client’s driveway was still covered in snow. ❄️

Without hesitation, she reached out to a neighbor to borrow a shovel and got to work clearing the driveway so her client could have peace of mind and receive the care she needed. Edilyn’s story is a powerful reminder of the meaningful difference our caregivers make every day.

We are so grateful for caregivers like Edilyn who go above and beyond for the clients and families we serve. ❤️

Did you know that October is Fire Prevention Month? Here's some tips from the American Red Cross to keep you and your loved ones safe!:

❗Install smoke alarms on every level of your home, inside bedrooms and outside sleeping areas.
❗Test smoke alarms every month. If they’re not working, change the batteries.
❗Talk with all family members about a fire escape plan and practice the plan twice a year.
❗If a fire occurs in your home, GET OUT, STAY OUT and CALL FOR HELP. Never go back inside for anything or anyone.
