Derrick Cook is from the small town of Cadiz, Kentucky. He is a graduate of Murray State University, where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. In Derrick’s spare time, he likes to create animations. Derrick is a Youth Peer Support Specialist with Light of Chance. Derrick shares his point of view about working with youth, “Your younger years are the very foundation of what your adult years are built upon. As such, it's my goal to help strengthen that foundation. Additionally, if I'm honest, I find myself to be very young still and relate well to the youth.” Derrick has also volunteered at Murray's Angel's Attic (a thrift store), a youth service center, and Trigg County's Senior Citizens Center.
