Medicaid resumed normal operational guidelines and that is why everything is moving at a slower pace per a case worker Ive been talking with. They were still in Covid mode until recently.

Message from the clearinghouse regarding TrueCare:

I attempted to create enrollment requests for TrueCare Mississippi Medicaid (MSMCDCS1); however, no enrollment is required to send claims to this payer, and Waystar does not have an active connection to this payer for remits at this time. To retrieve your remits, you will have to contact the payer directly. I do apologize for any inconvenience. Since they are a new payer, a connection may be established shortly.

I got a call yesterday from a third-party company that has taken over credentialing verifications for MS Medicaid. I have been a biller/coder/credentialer for many years and never dealt with a third party, so it threw me off a little. I had to verify before sending the requested documentation. I wanted to share, so if anyone gets these calls requesting information, Medicaid now, indeed, is using a third party for verifying information. The company I spoke with was Verisys.

Reminder: UHC Medicaid ends 06/30. Be sure you are verifying all Medicaid to make sure which panel to send claims to, as I am sure there is about to be a big switch-a-roo about to happen!

TrueCare (the new Medicaid branch) is an MPCN product. The active date for UHC to end is 06/30/2025—pay attention, parents!

Providers - it costs $150.00 per year to credential with MSPN. Plus an application fee.

FYI - Sole providers that plan to accept Medicaid products - if you have a TIN that is NOT your social Magnolia requires you have a Medicaid number for your individual NPI AND a group Medicaid number for your TIN to contract with them.

Magnolia/Ambetter now requires sole providers that have an individual NPI and a TIN to have a Medicaid number for the individual NPI and another Medicaid number for the group TIN if is not the social. My sole providers that use their socials as their TINs do not have to get two Medicaid numbers.
