Update on Jayce.
1. Infection, they have him heavily sedated to keep his vitals in a healthy range so they can fight the infection. Still not sure what it is but treating for a wide variety, believe its most likely from his incision wound since it opened up and didn't heal properly.
2. Small Arteries, his Arteries didn't grow like they had hoped for and will be going to the cath lab after the infection clears to see if they narrow anywhere so they can place a stint, not sure about option 2 if no stint can be placed.
3. Collapsed airway, this it what's causing the issue with his oxygen and most likely feeding has well no plan on what to do for this option yet all I know is she said for this it requires high pressure and that offsets what they need for his Arteries.
I'm at a loss right now and not sure what to think because I'm lost on what it all means. To me it sounds like we can either get good blood flow or good oxygen flow not both. Will keep everyone posted has things progress into next week.
Please keep the prayers coming has he is fighting hard and keeping the nurses and doctors busy

Jayce is going through a lot right now. He had a lot of new medicines added to help open his capillaries and is doing a breathing treatment of nitric oxide 3 times a day. They put him back on diuretics and Lasix to pull extra fluid off of him while watching his kidneys closely. He is having signs of Norovirus right now as well so they are waiting on a stool sample to test for it. His incision site that had the clear glue over it started cracking and showing redness over the skin so they are starting him on an antibiotic just in case of infection(his heart is not able to fight off infections). His Gtube is also starting to leak... go figure.

Game plan? TBD. They know for sure he's going to need cath lab so they can get a better plan on how to fix all of this. She said by next week we will know what to do for sure.

Jayce got moved to the step down hall instead of the CTICU which is amazing. He is only working on feeds again through NG. They just upped the feed from 2mL today. I'm going to see him tomorrow and the plan is to take my pump to the hospital so they can trouble shoot why he was vomiting at home so much through NG. I'm just hoping he will start eating more by mouth so we don't need the NG so much.

Jayce had a small stroke in the white matter of his brain which is the deeper inner part. Some of the brain cells died and that's what was causing the seizures. He will not have any damage to his movements or breathing or anything major. They are still monitoring his brain activity and seizures. They said he had a blood clot from dehydration where the blood didn't pull out of the brain. He has been given plenty of nutrition and fluids before they knew why. He will be getting another CT and possibly a longer MRI to get better imaging.

He is still having seizures so they can't take him off the eeg to get an mri done until he is 24hrs seizure free. His blood pressure is now dropping low too. So now he has BP medicine, seizure medicine, heart medicine, and then the Lasix and pain medicine. Poor guy can't catch a break here lately

He is currently hooked up to a brain monitor for seizures, A pic line for feeding, blood transfusion, oxygen, blood pressure machine, and a few others. He's on a bunch of medication that I can't begin to describe. So far we know he has a stomach infection and waiting for the test and results for a brain infection. So far not sure why he had a seizure. Continued prayers

Jayce was moved to the ICU so he can have around the clock care. He was having seizures and will be needing a spinal tap to check for a brain infection. He also is hooked back up to the oxygen machine so he can get better breathing and will need a blood transfer because he has a low red blood count
