AmeriHealth Caritas North Carolina is proud to partner with Ripe For Revival, a nonprofit bringing healthy, affordable food to communities in need.

Through their Mobile Markets (buses and trailers that deliver fresh, local food to “food deserts”), and our Mobile Wellness Unit, we’re helping expand access to health resources and fresh produce.

We also provide AmeriBucks, $10 vouchers that individuals can use to purchase nutritious foods.

We had a great time with our partners at Salisbury Pediatric Associates PA, helping families get ready for football game days with a healthy-for-you chili tasting and take-home fixings. We even provided each family with a crock pot to use for chili and other healthy family meals!

We had such a great time with more than 100 families that turned out for our Triad Baby Shower at the Greensboro Wellness & Opportunity Center. Moms-to-be and new moms got to meet our terrific community partners, who brought information, advice and fun swag. And what would a party be without games, door prizes and a photo booth? We send our very best wishes to all these growing families for a bright start with their new babies!
