‼️A domestic violence training you don't want to miss from a leader whose work has made a national impact‼️

You are invited to attend an upcoming training featuring Mark Wynn, a nationally recognized expert in the fields of law enforcement and domestic violence response. This is an exceptional training opportunity with one of the most respected voices in the field. This training will provide valuable insight, practical strategies, and a deeper understanding of working with survivors and strengthening community response efforts.

This valuable training will be held at LMU at the DCOM building in room 402 from 9 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. this Friday, February 20th. Breakfast and refreshments will be provided, and lunch will be on your own.

We encourage all community partners to attend this important learning opportunity. Mark Wynn brings years of experience and expertise that will benefit anyone working in victim services, advocacy, law enforcement, and related fields.

Studies show that serious damage or even death can occur up to two weeks after being strangled. We encourage survivors to be throughly checked out by a medical professional if they have been strangled.

Strangulation is a serious issue that occurs in domestic violence more often than it should, causing more harm than many realize.

We want to express our gratitude to Commercial Bank for giving us the opportunity to join Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking - CCAHT, and New Tazewell Police Department for a professional training on recognizing and responding to human trafficking from a financial standpoint.

Financial institutions play a critical role in identifying red flags and disrupting trafficking operations. Bringing together partnerships like this enables our community to respond effectively.

🧡educate teens about healthy and unhealthy relationships
🧡 encourage teenagers to discuss their relationship with a trusted adult
🧡 encourage young people to not be afraid to ask questions or use your voice
🧡 to show teens that they deserve to be respected and safe

and for adults (parents, teachers, coaches, etc.) to:

🧡ask your teen questions about their dating life
🧡learn the warning signs of dating violence
🧡be a safe support system
🧡find valuable resources for support

Did you know that 1 in 3 teens who were in an abusive relationship never told anyone about the abuse they were going through?

That is what we need to aim to change!

Adults, lets pull together and make sure we are being a safe space for children to confide in. Teenagers do not need to go through this alone. Together we can work to recognize signs of someone who may be in an unhealthy relationship, learn how to ask questions with support and care, and teach teens the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships.

Teens, dating is about mutual respect, not control or fear. 🧡
