Sundays are great recovery days. Not only are they perfect for resting from the hard work you put in during the week prior, but it also gets you ready for the week to come. Active recovery is the most beneficial because it allows you to keep your muscles loose and moving while also giving them appropriate R&R. One of my favorite ways to recover is to work on mobility, flexibility, and myofascial release. A very effective way to accomplish this (and the simplest), is to get your hands on a foam roller!
Foam rolling is a perfect way to massage and loosen up your aching, sore muscles. Foam rolling also allows you to work out any kinks/knots/trigger points and helps push out lactic acid build up to support blood flow and lymphatic drainage.
