So this just in, as I was reconnecting and explaining what happened with my fb jail episode ... it brought an amazing sense of gratitude ..

Another fella, I was sharing with, I got to say this to him ..

Ya see family, when I am driven by my own, will on my own power, I run into stuff man, I get jammed up and I sometimes wonder what's the use you know what I mean? I really can't do anything man on my own power because I by myself, am weak. Looking at some stats yesterday, it helped me to understand that there are 700,000 homeless around us. This fact alone caused me to pause, it caused me to realize that right now I am warm, I can eat if I want to and because you guys share with me, I can feed others. I ain't gonna mention your names because I don't believe that's why you do it, just know that the God I serve sees you, and for you, I believe that is enough. Ya know guys, when I'm up against it, where I feel like I'm up against it. God didn't go anywhere.It was me you know what I mean? Let me challenge you today to seek out somebody with less and if you are able, give them more ... If it is you, the one reading this are the one in need, know too that the same God that stands in for me, will give you what you need merely for the asking ... but you gotta ask man, put your pride in the can and ask .. If you ain't sure about this asking thing, then reach out to somebody that you know, if it aint me, then somebody that you trust, somebody that's interested in your heart and not your wallet. The God I serve will use that person that you ask until you ask on your own, He don't care how long it takes time ain't a thing with him... this I know. I love you all, Happy Thanksgiving ❤️

If I don't think it, I won't drink it.... read that again.

If you are an alcoholic or an addict of my variety and you dwell on the thought of a drink or a drug, you are going to do it, whether you want to or not. It is impossible to pick up a drink or a drug unless you first entertain the thought. We have an amazing capacity to dismiss thoughts. I say, as a sneez is to a cold, a symptom, so is a drink or a drug to an addict the same, a symptom. I can't remember one time where I got loaded or high without first planning it, thinking about it, not once. Sneezes happen, thoughts are created and then buy our own choosing entertained. When I entertained the thought long enough, the drink or the drug was the only thing that made sense. I wanted to get along, I wanted to fit in, I wanted to feel good, I just wanted this problem solved " I just need a drink, or a line or a hit and I will be fine". I turned to what made it worse, that was the point where rationality exited for me. I don't believe that my ability to entertain rational thought exited on its own, I believe that I had to without giving thought to, unconsciously dismiss it.. when I unconsciously, without thought dismissed rationality, I consciously got drunk or drugged until I was unconscious. When I woke up I thought, how in the hell did I let this happen again?

Good morning family.. so a friend of mine posted about a wedding that just occurred ... this came to me to give to them, and now, I believe that it is also for somebody reading this, whether married or single

May God bless you on your journey... may you be reminded daily of who and why ... And this I know ... it's not going to be all peaches and cream, some days there will be no peaches and other days there will be no cream, and some days you will question why it feels like there's none of either .. Just know that every day there is the source of both, just ask, know also that He loves when we present our request to Him in advance, with thanksgiving ❤️✌️

If it is you, that needs to read this, maybe you do not have a connection with the one I speak of, that's okay today ... get with another human that cares about your heart and know that you are certainly not alone in how you feel

Good morning family, ain't it funny how sometimes you think you're in a situation for one reason, til it comes to pass, that maybe that was only part of it... coincidence? I think not. It's been a few years but maybe one or two of you recall the journey of D ... his mom reached out to see if there was a way I could help him., so I helped him navigate, some legal issues, attending court with him, working with the prosecutor from another court, advocating to give this kid a break. Not to mention with the help of BK of the Eagles, and my nonprofit, provided him opportunity to take care of his community service, as well as give him a little work to make a few bucks for his fines and stuff. Anyway, here we are a few years later, and his mom reached out for some help for herself. I agreed to get on board to get her to a meeting and introduce her to a girl in the program... that happened last night... Praise God!... so I'm asking, please be praying for the journey of J ... But God! Listen guys and I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but speaking from experience I know that it aint over unless you quit. DON'T QUIT!! If I have said it once, i've said it a hundred times... Reach out to somebody that cares about your heart and not your wallet, if that someone is me, great, hit me up and I will respond. If it's not me, that's okay too,.just be sure it's somebody that has a vision for you, someone that sees your worth. There's no need to be embarrassed about your circumstance, addiction is a nasty nasty existence, it doesn't care about you, you have to care about yourself just DON'T QUIT!! ... I care about you and I Love you guys ... Happy Tuesday ❤️

For me man. I surrender several times a day. I'm sober 21 years in April but I still surrender several times a day. Every single day bro.. If you think a day is too long to go without a drink, there's nothing wrong with your thinking. That is the way we think in the beginning, but bro I'm telling you if you start changing the way you're thinking, that thinking will no longer come to the surface... It won't man, it stops being your demon... Your demons give up because they know they don't have a chance against you once you change your mind in your thinking... Read something off of that little app daily... I know a little bit about the Bible, I ain't no Bible thumper that's for sure. But I'll tell you what man you got to hit your knees and ask whatever power you believe in to give you the strength to make it. Just one day, just 10 minutes, just the next minute... Man I'm telling you I came from absolute destitution living in a car ready to blow my brains out if it wasn't for my son come and taking his shotgun back I wouldn't be sharing this with you. I mean it. It was over for me as far as I was concerned.. now open that app and read something or listen to a tape or something. Do something that has to do with recovery right now.. dude it sounds like your daughter needs you man but you're going to be dead if you don't get your s*** together... If you're hiding booze in the house "Just in case you want to have 1" ... That's not normal ... If you're leaving it out in the car because you know you'll catch hell if you bring it in, then you worry about it freezing, or it's going to be freaking warm when I want to drink it ... That's not normal ... If you're heading out to the bar just to have "one or two" and end up spending the night at the bar for whatever reason ... That's not normal ... If you head out to the bar, again just to have one or two, find yourself that you drank all the money that you have, and ask the bartender to " trust you till payday" Then get upset if he or she doesn't... That's not normal ... If you close the bar on a work night or any night for that matter wake up puking with a headache feeling your guts inside out, convinced that you just need to have one to feel better ... That's not normal ... If you have to have " just one" everyday and it's never just one ... That's not normal ... If you wake up in the morning without a clue of how you got to where you are or what you did last night, then you were in a blackout ... That's not normal ... If you have to have a drink everyday "Just to unwind a little" or drink everyday out of boredom or everyday just because you can ... That's not normal ... If you find yourself telling yourself... "Man I've had a rough day at work, I'm just going to go have one, I deserve one after this day wheeewwe" or whatever other " drinking just because reason " and it never ends up that way .. That's not normal, If you get behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol ... That's not normal ... If you think you " might" have a problem ... then you do ... That's normal ... And finally ... If you find that you're acting out of the norm and drifting into a hopeless- helpless state, saying to yourself ... " I'm getting s***-faced tonight because blah blah blah" That's not normal ... Get with somebody that cares about your heart, not what's in your pants or your wallet ... Turn it Over man ... Happy Monday ❤️

Listen up people, if you're struggling like J was or like I did.... There is hope and help out there, I couldn't receive help until I had hope. By the grace of God I had somebody in my life that gave me hope which led me to make the decision to Turn it Over... So if you're struggling, and If not me then I will connect you with somebody that you can relate to. Listen man, the only thing you had to lose is the misery and all you have to gain is your life and your family back... Only one caveat... you must want from the center of your being for it to be turned around, and if you do I can give you hope okay? If you're struggling, know that in about a week we got a whole new year starting, how about if we take that opportunity and make it a whole new you? There's this verse in this book that I read from time to time (probably should read it more but I don't) Anyway, it goes like this ... And the government shall rest on His shoulders... Isaiah 9: 6 ... We may not agree on certain things but we must come together as one and agree that we have a right to decide for ourselves, not everywhere is like this. We must somehow understand that our choice does not define whether you individually are a good or bad person ... So whoever it might be exercise your right and vote, may the God of your understanding heal your little corner of the universe... Happy Tuesday ❤️
