Help us congratulate our new treasurer Kendria Renee' Smith!
Kendria Renee' Smith hails from Shreveport, Louisiana, where her family has proudly resided in the Queensborough neighborhood for over 40 years and is a graduate of Southwood High School.
In 2006, Kendria earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin. Continuing her pursuit of knowledge, she obtained another Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies from Northwestern State University. Kendria is working towards a Master of Social Work degree at Grand Canyon University, driven by her passion for serving and uplifting her community.
At First Guaranty Bank, Kendria serves as a dedicated Commercial Lender, where she combines her financial acumen with a heartfelt commitment to empowering families and communities through financial literacy education. Her career has allowed her to touch countless lives, providing invaluable guidance and support to those in need.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Kendria's dedication to community service knows no bounds. As a counselor and volunteer, she selflessly gives back, offering her time and expertise to uplift and empower others. An accomplished athlete, Kendria's achievements include three Southwood girls' basketball state championships and participation in the NCAA tournament's first round while playing for SFA.
In her ongoing commitment to mentorship and athletic development, Kendria coaches a summer AAU team, serves as a personal trainer, and acts as an assistant coach for a high school girls' basketball team. Her involvement extends to leadership roles, as she proudly serves as a member of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce's diplomat team and a board member of the Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce.
Further showcasing her dedication to community service, Kendria is a Provisional Member of The Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier. Through this organization, she actively contributes to empowering women to lead and make a positive impact in their communities through training, partnerships, and volunteer work.
