Hello Everyone! Please consider coming to the 2nd annual Pirathon fun race! It's more of an excuse to dress up as a pirate and enjoy an adventure packed day. The course will showcase Grants Pass beautiful parks, while cruising a bike, trekking, and floating the Rouge in a floaty device.
It's a 2.5 mile cruise on a bike from Reinhart Volunteer Park to Westholm Park, then back to Reinhart.
Then a 1.5 mile trek from Reinhart Park to Riverside Park.
Finally, you'll put in at Riverside Park and float back down to Reinhart Park where we'll have awards ceremony and music.
All info is online and you'll be able to secure a spot by getting a ticket to the fun event!!

85% of mammals take naps. It’s in our DNA. Before Thomas Edison or Nikola Tesla invented the lightbulb, the average amount of sleep humans slept was 10 hours a night. After the lightbulb was invented that was reduced to eight hours, because we’re able to perform task more longer periods of time when we can see.
After the industrial revolution humans average time sleeping is more like six hours now.
With 50% of all humans on earth having some form of insomnia that is a huge problem. Insomnia is defined as laying awake in bed, stressing, or having anxiety, about actually sleeping and worried about not getting enough.
Famous nappers are John F Kennedy, Albert Einstein, Aristotle, Leonardo, da Vinci, Napoleon, Bonaparte, Thomas Edison, Franklin, Loyd, Wright, Eleanor Roosevelt, J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King, and Bill Clinton to name a few. So to help compensate for our sleep deprivation it is vital we start taking naps. 10 to 20 minute naps are the best in the afternoon. Recent research have also indicated nappers after their break. Wake up and feel less anxiety, less depression, increased concentration, and fewer mistakes. knaps also has proven to reduce the likelihood of strokes and other health benefits.
So let’s do ourselves a favor, and start getting in the habit of taking a little nap here and there.

Why is it some people think meditation is so difficult? All we’re supposed to do is just sit there and not think.
However, our minds want to do the opposite.
It is true, meditation can be difficult. But so was walking when we started, brushing our teeth, and tying your shoes.
With practice even just a little bit each day we can become better at controlling our minds.

Thanks to all that came out to support the first inaugural Notryathlon race🥰.
Next year is going to be better. I may even rename the race and have a good idea or two of that. It’s also going to have a special theme. Stay tuned for more details and here are some fun pictures from this year’s race.
Everyone loved it and really wants to help out next year. Turned out a great success with many smiley faces😄😁

It benefits the Josephine County Food Bank and Helping Hands GP to help homeless vets with getting back on their feet.
It's a 2.5 mile bike cruise from Reinhart Volunteer Park up to Westholm Park. Then it's a 1.5 mile walk from Reinhart Volunteer Park to Riverside Park where you'll get in your tube/flotation device and float back to Reinhart Volunteer Park where we'll chill with music, food truck and friends while we find out the winners!!
Prizes for best costume, best team costume, most average time, and more!
