Returning to where it all started—California State University, Monterey Bay.

When you’re asked to speak to students from your alma mater, you don’t say no. Why would you? Lulu, Ruby, and I were proud to go back to the school that gave us our start and share a bit about what we’ve learned since.

During the Idea to Impact: Building a Small Business panel, we discussed what inspired us to launch our own businesses, the challenges we faced, and the importance of having people who believe in what we’re building.

One message we wanted to leave with the students was that success isn’t a solo effort—it’s about the team you build and the shared effort toward a common goal.

We’re so grateful to California State University, Monterey Bay for the opportunity to speak at the panel. All three of us walked away inspired—to keep pushing forward, keep learning, and keep building together.

We’re proud of what Varnel has become, and we hope to return for another event at Cal State in the years ahead to share how far we’ve come.

We’ve had some really great Safety and CPR training sessions over the last few weeks—with participants from all kinds of careers and backgrounds. 
 
We have a few more sessions coming up in both Spanish and English this August. Keep an eye out for updates. 
 
We’ve been so impressed with the attendees and love seeing the interest in the training.
