Knowing how to spot drowning is the first step to saving a life. A swimmer needs immediate help if they:

1️⃣ Are not making forward progress in the water.
2️⃣ Are vertical in the water but unable to move or tread water.
3️⃣ Are motionless and face down in the water.

By working to improve water competency, we can be prepared to act in the moments that matter.
