Many women come to me after being told some version of the same thing:

“Let’s just keep an eye on it.”
“Just lose some weight.”
“This is normal for midlife.”
“Let’s increase the medication.”

They aren’t looking for motivation or another plan.
They’re looking for a physician who will actually sit with the full picture and help them understand what’s changing in their body—and what can be done about it.

I’m Dr. Jennifer Davis, a triple board–certified physician.

I help women and families reverse chronic disease and improve metabolic health.

I do this because too many women are excluded from care that actually works — told they must follow rigid rules, lose weight, or “try harder” to be healthy. That approach increases stress, worsens metabolic health over time, and is rarely sustainable.

My practice uses evidence-based lifestyle medicine that is weight-inclusive, culturally honoring, and focused on long-term results. When care supports the nervous system, reduces stress, and provides clear guidance on nourishment and daily habits, outcomes improve — blood sugar stabilizes, medication needs can often decrease, and people feel more confident and capable in their bodies.

As a pediatrician, this work matters to me because when women are supported, the benefits extend to their families and children.

Spice up your wellness. Literally. 🌶️

Last night I made vegan Bánh Mì sandwiches that were 🤩—spicy pickled veggies, spicy tofu, and a spicy mayo. The whole family enjoyed it. I didn’t even know that International Hot & Spicy Food Day, was today. I should have waited.

It is a perfect reminder that eating plant-based doesn’t mean bland. In fact, flavor is medicine and even hot and spicy foods have benefits.

Capsaicin—the compound that gives chili peppers their heat—has anti-inflammatory properties, supports metabolic health, and may even improve heart function.
