Quick damage control in the garden today — my poor hostas are now covered with a random collection of protective contraptions to prevent further damage. But at least the rabbits and deer got a good meal before I figured out what was happening.

Early dinner tonight: rice pilaf and salad with sauerkraut instead of dressing.

Now off for an evening walk before it gets too dark to spot the first signs of spring. 🪻🌷

It’s been a couple of weeks since we returned from beautiful Costa Rica, and I could feel my Gallo Pinto deficiency setting in. 😁

This dish has always been one of my favorites, and today I finally got to enjoy it in my own yard!

Our trip was an amazing and unforgettable experience.
