It's almost time for more Yoga & Yarn at Applewood Yarn Barn on Green Bluff! First class for fall is September 6th, 9:45-11am. If the weather is good we'll be on the front porch!

We'll keep the good moves going on the 1st Saturday of each month, September to December. Yay for Yoga and Yarn!

You can register at applewoodyarnbarn.com and pay before or after the class. $20 for a blissful time in company with fellow yoginis and yarn lovers!

Had a glorious weekend co-facilitating the Women's Weekend at Camp Cross! Chair Yoga in the Ark in the morning, with beautiful Coeur d'Alene Lake in our gaze, sharing meals with the women (and men!) and the Camp Staff, waking to the sounds of the birds beginning their morning chorus before 5am! This was my fourth time to be there, and the best yet. The drawing of the Ark was done by my young friend Kade during our Delights session.

Sharing some Election Day words of wisdom from my Yoga Therapy colleague Carol Klammer:

Can I make some suggestions?
Our anxiety has a basis in reality-- HOWEVER: there are things we can do to manage it.
1- LIMIT the social media & News
2-Breathing in this ratio, lying with a book (small amt of weight) on your belly (abdominal-diaphragmatic breathing--KEY*)
Ratio: Inhale count 4, Exhale count 6, 7, or 8. Keep it calm and slow. Keep your mind on that.
3-Get some ratty old socks and massage coconut or untoasted sesame oil on your feet before bed. Wear the socks to keep your bedding from getting trashed.
