During our upcoming FREE PUBLIC event, “The Silent Crisis: Hearing Loss, Tinnitus and Dementia”, we will welcome Dr. Douglas L. Beck. Dr Beck earned his undergraduate degree (B.A.) in Communication Disorders & Sciences (1982), his master’s degree in audiology from the University of Buffalo (1984) and his doctorate (Au.D., Doctor of Audiology) from the University of Florida, Gainesville (2000). His professional career began in Los Angeles at the House Ear Institute in cochlear implant research and intraoperative cranial nerve monitoring. In 1988, he joined the medical school faculty as Director of Audiology at Saint Louis University in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He speaks throughout the world on the links between untreated hearing loss and dementia as well as tinnitus and we are excited to have him during this informative and important session.

Cocktails and appetizers will be provided, and Expert Hearing is proud to donate $10 per attendee to the Savannah Alzheimer’s Association. We're heading to Washington, D.C., 🏛️ to advocate for you! This week, Dr. Timna and Dr. Palmer, along with 100 other audiologists from the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, will be lobbying in the U.S. Capitol. We will advocate for the reclassification of audiologists as practitioners for services under the Medicare program, allowing for easier access, reduced duplication of services and referrals, and reduced costs, to improve hearing healthcare for our seniors. Stay tuned here on Thursday and we'll keep you updated on our journey!
