Yesterday, our team took a moment to slow down, get their hands a little dirty, and enjoy some well-deserved “Dirt Therapy.” From potting colorful flowers to creating their own succulent arrangements, it was a fun way to celebrate Earth Day while recharging together. 💚

🐾💙 Big news for CCMC!

This past Saturday, thanks to ksds.inc, our Activities Director Kristin Pedigo officially welcomed a new four-legged teammate, Bray!

Bray is a specially trained facility dog who will be working alongside Kristin to bring comfort, connection, and a little extra joy to our patients, visitors, and team each day. From brightening moods to providing emotional support, Bray is already making a meaningful impact.

We’re so excited to have Bray as part of the CCMC family and can’t wait for our community to meet her! 🐶✨

Looking for a way to help your student build confidence and real-life skills this summer?

Our Safe Sitter® babysitting training is designed for students in grades 6–8 and covers essential topics like safety, childcare basics, and how to handle emergencies!

📍 Education Centers at Clay County Medical Center

Led by certified instructor Danielle Rothfuss, APRN, ENP-C, this hands-on course prepares students to be responsible, capable caregivers.

At Clay County Medical Center, our OB providers care for patients throughout pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum, with clinic locations in Clay Center, Clyde, Glasco, Linn, and Riley. This allows families to receive prenatal care close to home while still having a clear, coordinated plan for delivery at CCMC in Clay Center. 🏥

With recent changes in regional OB availability, maintaining local access to care has become even more important. Our team is committed to helping ensure patients have options for consistent, reliable care throughout their pregnancy. 💙

If you or someone you know is expecting, our clinics are currently accepting new patients.

Clay County Medical Center is a 25 bed critical access hospital- 3 bed Obstetrical, and 19 Inpatient acute care/swing bed (or skilled nursing care) status patients.

We’re currently transforming two rooms in our Specialty Clinic into one larger, lead-lined treatment space to better serve our pain management patients. 🔨

This expansion will enhance both patient care and experience, giving Scott Husted CRNA, NSPM-C, the space needed to comfortably meet with and treat patients.

Stay tuned as we continue to make improvements that support our providers and, most importantly, our patients! 💙

Our Second Annual Community Baby Shower was a huge success! 🍼🎉

Congratulations to all of our new and expecting moms! This year, we more than doubled registrations from last year; welcoming 32 moms-to-be and nearly 100 total attendees.

With 15 vendors present, families received valuable resources, education, and support to help them prepare for their newest arrival. Each participant also went home with diaper bundles, pack n plays, and exciting door prizes. 🩵

A special thank you to the Clay County Health Department for their partnership, our incredible vendors, and our community members who generously donated to the diaper and wipe drive. Your support made this event both meaningful and memorable for so many local families.

We can’t wait to see you next year! 🥰
