CLASS held a special celebration today to honor LaDonna Clark who recently retired after being with CLASS for nearly 14 years.

LaDonna began as a Coach/Direct Service Professional and during her time at CLASS has also served as Med Coach, Team Leader, and most recently the Cherokee County Director of Services.

The celebration included members of LaDonna’s family as well as current staff.

Congratulations LaDonna! We are truly grateful for your dedication to the mission of CLASS and all you have done for those we serve.

It’s always great to start Thursday mornings at the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce Coffee. Our Chamber Champion Shirley smiled and welcomed everyone as they arrived at the event which was hosted by Bekah Harlan - Shelter Insurance. Shirley even snagged a picture with City of Pittsburg, Kansas Commissioner DJ Perry.

CLASS is grateful to have received a Community Grant from the Pittsburg Noon Rotary Club. The funds will be used for our Client Christmas Fund to help purchase Christmas gifts for many of the individuals we serve who would otherwise not have the joy of receiving a gift for the holiday.

Bob Burk, Vice President of External Relations for CLASS and a Rotarian, (pictured with Diane Cunningham, Club President) was on hand to accept the grant during the club’s regular meeting last week.

Representatives from CLASS joined more than 800 advocates from across the state at the Kansas State Capitol in Topeka today to raise awareness for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and thank the legislators for their continued support. InterHab
