Certified Health Coach: www.empowHERdwellness.com I am a multifaceted rural entrepreneur, a fifth-generation RanchHer, and proud to carry on the legacy of strong women in agriculture. My family and I raise draft-cross horses, and I am an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe from Pine Ridge, South Dakota. Honoring my heritage, preserving ranch life, and celebrating the role of women in agriculture are at the heart of what I do. My personal journey has been one of transformation - I lost over 100 pounds and have kept it off for nearly two years. That experience fueled my passion for helping other women step into their best selves. As a certified health coach, I now guide women toward healthier, happier, and more confident lives through sustainable habits and mindset shifts. The Native Cowgirl is more than just a brand - it’s a lifestyle rooted in grit, growth, and gratitude. Whether I’m sharing the daily rhythms of ranch life, health tips, or motivational stories, my mission is to empower and uplift women everywhere. Permanent makeup has improved my self-confidence more than I can even say over the past 9 years.

There is something incredibly empowering about waking up and feeling put together…without having to do anything. It’s simple, natural, and such a confidence booster.

Because of how much it has meant to me personally, I decided to pursue training so that I can help other women experience that same confidence.

I’m excited to share that I am now offering permanent makeup services, beginning with brows as I complete my certification.

A very special thank you to my mom for trusting me and being my model during this process. It means the world to me to have your support and belief in what I’m doing!🥰

✨ MODEL CALL – BROWS ✨
As I complete my training, I am looking for one model for brow microblading.

Requirements:
• Must not have had any previous permanent makeup on the brows
• Must be comfortable being a model for training purposes
• Must be able to be in Billings, MT for the appointment. Date and time TBD.

If you’ve been thinking about enhancing your brows and would like to be considered, please comment below or send me a message.

I’m so excited for this new chapter and to help women feel even more confident in their own skin!💕

Every year we “lose” an hour when the clocks spring forward…but I like to think of it a little differently.

This morning we woke up one hour closer to spring.

Longer evenings.
More sunlight on the mountains.
Mud on the boots.
Babies coming on the ranch.
Life waking back up again.

There’s something about this time of year that feels hopeful. The days stretch a little longer, the light lingers just a little later, and you can feel that quiet shift happening all around us.

Sometimes progress is just like that too…small shifts forward that don’t seem like much in the moment, but over time they change everything.

So yes…we lost an hour.

But today we gained a little more light.

And I’ll take that any day.

Change can feel uncomfortable at first.
It stretches us…asks more of us…sometimes even shakes up the life we’ve grown used to.

But here’s the truth…

Nothing in nature stays the same.
The seasons change.
The horses grow.
The land renews itself year after year.

Growth requires movement.

Sometimes the changes we choose lead us somewhere better.
Sometimes the changes we didn’t choose end up shaping us in ways we never expected.

Either way…change is often the doorway to the next version of ourselves.

So if life feels like it’s shifting right now…lean into it.
Trust that something good can grow from it.

I’m curious…

What is one change happening in your life right now that might actually be leading you somewhere better?

There’s something about being up in the wee hours on the ranch…when the world is quiet and the sky puts on a show.

This morning I stepped outside and captured a this photo of the Blood Moon lunar eclipse. The moon glowed in deep shades of copper and red, hanging over the Montana sky like a reminder that we are part of something so much bigger than ourselves.

What makes it a “Blood Moon”?
During a total lunar eclipse, the Earth moves directly between the sun and the moon. Instead of going dark, the moon turns red because sunlight filters through Earth’s atmosphere. The atmosphere scatters the blue light and bends the red light toward the moon…creating that beautiful, fiery glow.

Standing there in the cold Montana air, I couldn’t help but think about change. Even the moon goes through phases. Even the brightest light sometimes has to pass through shadow. And yet…it comes back glowing in a whole new way.

Did you see it? If so, where are you located? I’d love to know who else was up way before dawn watching the sky.

19 years ago today, I did something bold at the time…I formed my company.

I ran across these fun photos of some of the caps I created over the years and it brought back so many memories. I loved the creativity I got to pour into each one back then and the many amazing women I got to meet over the years. In many ways, not much has changed…I’ve simply shifted from creating with caps and crystals to creating with words, images and experiences.

Your kind words and unwavering support have meant the world to me over these past 19 years.

Cowgirl Swank began in 2007. It became The Native Cowgirl in 2015 as my business began to transition and evolve. Here I am, 11 years after that change, and even more exciting things are headed this way.

I will tell you more when everything is lined out, but what I will tell you is that I embrace change. I find it invigorating and challenging. I’m ready for more of that in my life!

Stay tuned…✨

Growth doesn’t come from staying comfortable…it comes from being willing to evolve.

Always strive to improve.
Always be willing to learn.
Always give yourself permission to recreate who you are becoming.

You are not meant to stay the same. You are meant to expand, stretch, grow and transform through every season of life.

Just like we see here on the ranch…nothing in nature stays stagnant. The horses grow, the seasons change, the land rests and renews. That same cycle exists within you.

Change isn’t something to fear.
Change is essential.

It’s how we become stronger.
It’s how we become wiser.
It’s how we step into the next, better version of ourselves.

Keep going.
Keep growing.
Never stay stagnant.

You can live the ranch life and still be working hard behind the scenes on yourself.

Today I spent time feeding our livestock, checking water and surveying the land here at Lazy Six Nine Ranch. Quiet moments like that give me space to think…and lately I’ve been reflecting on the conversations I’ve been having with some of the women I coach.

So many of them come in feeling:
tired
overwhelmed
discouraged
like they’ve tried everything

And what they really want isn’t just weight loss…

It’s to feel at home in their own body again.

To have energy.
Confidence.
Follow through.
Trust in themselves.

That kind of work doesn’t happen overnight.
But I see it happening every day…in small decisions, mindset shifts, and women choosing not to give up this time.

It reminds me a lot of ranch life, honestly.
Consistency over intensity.
Showing up even when it’s hard.
Doing what you said you’d do.

Transformation isn’t loud.
It’s quiet.
It’s daily.
It’s intentional.

And it’s possible…even if it hasn’t worked before.

Sometimes the right words find you…right when you didn’t even know you needed them.

I heard a song for the first time today, and one simple phrase stopped me in my tracks…

“Grief is only love that’s got no place to go.”

And isn’t that the truth?

Grief isn’t weakness.
It isn’t something to “get over.”
It’s love that still exists…with nowhere to land.

It’s the memories that still make you smile and cry in the same breath.
It’s the moments you wish you could share.
It’s the conversations you still have in your heart.

Losing my dad has taught me that grief walks alongside love. It shows up because love was real…deep…unshakable.

So if you’re grieving right now, please know this…

Your grief is not something that’s wrong with you.
It’s something that’s right with your love.

Be gentle with yourself.
Let the love move through you in new ways.
Speak their name.
Carry their legacy.
Honor them by how you live.

Love doesn’t end…it just changes form.

🪶Cheyenne, The Native Cowgirl

P.S. Thank you .wilson.jr for the most amazing words…new fan here. “And I don’t feel like crying. But I just keep crying.”😢🫶🏼

While we’re battling below zero temperatures here on the ranch…other parts of the country are burning up.

Different landscapes.
Different storms.
Same truth…everyone is fighting something.

Some are trying to keep the water tanks thawed and the livestock fed.
Some are trying to keep their livestock alive and their families safe.
Some are fighting battles nobody can even see.

Just because our struggles look different…doesn’t mean they aren’t heavy.

So today, I’m choosing to send a little extra positivity out into the world.

To the ones walking through grief.
To the ones feeling stuck in their health journey.
To the ones who feel let down by others…or maybe even by themselves.
To the ones who are cold, overwhelmed, exhausted or unsure of what comes next.

Keep going.

Storms pass.
Seasons change.
And strength is often built in the hardest conditions…whether that’s in the heat or in the cold.

Thinking of all of you today. Stay strong. Stay hopeful. Better days are coming.

🔥🐎 Today marks the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse…and I can feel it already.

In the Chinese zodiac, the Fire Horse is known for its strength, passion, independence, courage, and unstoppable forward momentum. This is the energy of bold decisions. Of trusting your instincts. Of finally moving in the direction your heart has been whispering to you about for years.

Fire Horse years are not meant for playing small.

They are meant for:
✨ Taking action
✨ Reclaiming your confidence
✨ Stepping fully into your power
✨ Breaking old cycles
✨ Creating change that lasts
✨ Leading your life…instead of reacting to it

This is the year of movement.
The year of momentum.
The year of IGNITING the parts of you that have been waiting patiently beneath the surface.

As a horsewoman, I know the power of a horse that’s ready to run.
There’s no hesitation.
No apology.
Just purpose, presence, and power.

So today, I invite you to ask yourself…
Where are you being called to run toward your future instead of away from your fear?

Let this be the year you trust your fire.

Positive change doesn’t always arrive in a loud, dramatic moment…

Sometimes it shows up as a quiet decision to do better.
To think better.
To live better.

When you choose to shine a light into the dark corners of your life, the shadows begin to lose their power. Little by little…step by step…you move from where you were into something stronger, calmer and more aligned with who you’re meant to be.

Gradual transitions are still powerful transitions.

Don’t fear the process.
Don’t rush the growth.
Follow through anyway.

You don’t have to leap into the light overnight…you just have to keep walking toward it.

Love big.
Love open.
Love free.

And don’t forget to love yourself too.

Because the way you speak to yourself…care for yourself…invest in yourself…matters more than you know.

As a certified health coach, I’ve learned that loving yourself isn’t selfish…it’s necessary. It’s the foundation for every strong choice you make, every boundary you set, and every dream you dare to chase.

So today, make sure to give a little of that love back to you.

Happy Valentine’s Day. I’m glad you are in the world!💕
