This is how I do cauliflower. Kalamata olives with olive oil and seasoning. If you can marinate that cauliflower even better. But it’s a weeknight so this is it. The combo of seasoning is what I teach all of the 28 kitchens I have right now - salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder - then I added Italian seasoning here and a bit of dill. (Going with salmon and sprouts). Never leave your veggies bare.

It’s shocking to many people! I fuel a cycling athlete who is also a growing teen, a grown man who cycles and me who just works out and we rarely eat processed carbs (we splurge on grain free pasta sometimes). I have had so many people question this - look - processed carbs have no nutrients - just straight sugar. In the moment on a bike yes (clean products made for this)- but not for long term body growth and recovery! Your body needs carbs w vitamins and minerals and protein! Fat too but those others are just so essential. Today we are having this - what’s not in the pot is the wild rice - a better nutrient rice choice. In addition, grass fed and finished beef is in another pan. Processed, lacking nutrient carbs aren’t beneficial to long term body function. In long term success and fuel, a balance of real food nutrient dense carbs, protein and fat balance are key! (Zucchini is a high carb and nutrient vegetable! There’s bacon here too! All those veggies =carbs). Also in the pan, garlic, onion, pepper, sauerkraut, Calabrian chili, jalepeno, leeks and seasonings.
