Self care is necessary. Take some time this weekend for you! 💜
Here are some thoughts about the weekend! The last one on the list -- "brain dump" -- can be really interesting. It's sort of clearing the clutter mentally. And studies show this exercise can reduce stress and anxiety!
One way to try it: grab a way to record your thoughts. It can be paper and pen, or a keyboard, or a notes app on your phone, or sticky notes. One friend uses an Excel spreadsheet; just use whatever is comfortable for you.
Set a timer for 5 or 10 or 15 (at most) minutes. Then write down everything that comes to mind. Just let it flow. It might be to-do list items, or events, or errands, or hopes and dreams, or work deadlines, or ideas about the meal prep you want to accomplish, or....anything!
Once the timer sounds, look at what you've written down and categorize it; maybe things like "Work" and "Home" and "Personal," etc. Whatever works for you! Some things you might put in a miscellaneous category. Or you might have a category called "Consider In 2 Weeks." There are no right or wrong answers.
Now you get to prioritize the items in each category -- what is most important or urgent? What has a looming deadline? And then: you can act on what you've written down.
