The Boer goat group had a great meeting! They practiced showmanship, equipment ID, Feed ID and did their expo test! Good Job kiddos!

The Cloverbud project is getting ready for Spring!

They talked about the life cycle of a plant and planted seeds to take home. Some seeds that we planted were morning glory, zinnia, kale, cucumber, watermelon and tomato.

Some members may end up with some interesting hybrids - but they had fun planting 😆🌱

Madera County 4-H small animal expo!
We had 7 members attend! They all did great!

The sheep group took advantage of the amazing weather and worked hard on their showmanship skills. They weighed and tracked their rate of gain for Chowchilla fair.
And they had to stop and take a photo break!

Would you look at that folks we have an awesome sheep group in the making! All these members will be exhibiting at Chowchilla Fair!

🤩 2026 Madera County Cattlewomen Scholarship is OPEN!! 🤩

We are thrilled to announce that this year we have the opportunity to distribute 💥 8 (EIGHT) scholarships 💥 to qualifying applicants!

➡️ This scholarship is open to any graduating senior who resides in Madera County and is pursuing a degree in agriculture! ⬅️

📅 Applications are due April 1st, 2026.

All Madera County high schools have been provided a copy of the application, and you can also download the application from our website. Refer to the information below for eligibility criteria and more. 🙂
