August 2022- EXPLOSIVE + DUG IN, Unusual + Mystical Experiences, Finally a Return Back to the Basics of Life
Welcome to August 2022! You have made it to a new month! Pat yourself on the back! What a cray and wild time it has been as of late in the cosmos!!!
As we begin the month of August, we are still in the midst of the legendary aspect of Mars, Uranus and the North Node all coming together in Ta**us. This is a once in a lifetime aspect of tremendous movement, sudden events, and destiny happening within the sign that deals with our: money, survival, values and attachments. Many folks could feel like things around them are blowing up in massive proportion or there is a liberation factor around things, people and situations that no longer serve their highest good. A rush of pure adrenaline mixed with a sense of uneasiness is the best way to describe this trifecta of energy. Forewarned is forearmed when dealing with this make it or break it type of astrological madness.
I would advise to try to keep yourself as grounded and calm as possible with this meetup. While sudden and amazing breakthroughs can happen, this combo of Mars/Uranus and the North Node can be relentless and destructive if not handled with care. Being cautious while driving, operating machinery, taking on new projects/plans is advised. We will be under the influence of this aspect for the first week of August. The people most impacted by this aspect will be folks with their Sun, Moon or Ascendant on or close to 18 degrees of Ta**us or any other fixed sign( Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius). As we begin the month on such an explosive note, there is more turbulence( so to speak) as we move into the second week of August and that is where I will begin.
On August 7th, our feisty buddy Mars, the planet of aggression, passion and movement who is in the sign of Ta**us meets up in a tense 90 degree aspect with stern daddy Saturn, the planet of structures, boundaries and authority in the sign of Aquarius. Mars in Ta**us in a contentious dance with retrograde Saturn in Aquarius could lead to further battles connected to our ambitions and plans. When two malefic planets meet up it can again feel very tense and sometimes depressive. This aspect can produce more feelings of frustration and a " go/stop/go/stop" mentality that can bring on difficulty. The best way to deal with Mars and Saturn is to remain disciplined and as cool headed as possible. That won't necessarily be easy as both planets are in the fixed signs that can be very stubborn and "dug in". Great effort and concentration can be recognized now if you are able to keep yourself centered and remain aware + compassionate. For those folks who have their inner planets/points between 18-21 degrees of the fixed signs( Ta**us, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) will feel this one the most and should be extra cautious and vigilant with their words, actions and deeds. Moving to mid month on August 11th, we have the bold and unpredictable Full Moon at 19 degrees of Aquarius. Full moons are full of emotion and signify endings, manifestations and culminations. Aquarius, the 11th zodiac sign is known to be unpredictable, detached, genius-like and original. The full moon in Aquarius is ready to bring forth radical and liberating emotional experiences to our lives. We are ready to set ourselves free of restrictions that have held us back and focus our feelings on our hopes and dreams. There is a very futuristic energy that will be noticed and felt by all. Unusual and eccentric energy will be present and some folks could have emotions that come out of nowhere. For those folks who have their Sun, Moon or Ascendant on or close to 19 degrees of Aquarius, expect to be greatly impacted by this lunation with unexpected manifestations and culminations. On August 22nd, the Sun which represents our ego, life force and vitality shifts from the fiery sign of Leo over to the earthy sign of Virgo. Virgo energy is all about intellectual pursuits, organization, health/well being and discipline. It is time to shift from the self to focusing on service to others. We are ready to step into practical and grounded routines based around structure + order. The Sun in Virgo wants us to clean up our act whether it be around our health, career or family affairs. It is time to come back to the basics and relish in the earthly abundance of the universe.
On August 24th, Uranus, the previously mentioned planet of unpredictability, surprise and enlightenment turns retrograde at 18 degrees of Ta**us. Uranus retrograde in Ta**us is here to bring in internal shifts of change and transformation to our values + sense of self worth. Radical inner enlightenment that is based around standing up for our beliefs around what and who we deserve will be the theme for the next 6 months. Uranus retrograde could bring forth some very unusual inventions connected to our monetary systems and agricultural landscape. For those folks who have their inner planets/points at 18 degrees of the fixed signs( Ta**us, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) (again) this retrograde of Uranus will bring in life changing and surprising occurrences tied to the most fundamental areas of their lives. Finally on August 27th, we have the ultra aware New Moon at 4 degrees of Virgo. New moons always herald the slate being wiped clean, new beginnings and fresh starts. Virgo, the 6th zodiac sign deals with intellectual mastery, organization, health, cleanliness and order. The New Moon in Virgo is here to bring in a fresh air of grounded practicality and structures. This is a great time to clean out the closets in our house and the cobwebs of our mind. A solid and hyper aware energy comes forth that can be very critical in nature. Coming back to the earth + creating goals and workable solutions is what this lunation holds. It might seem a little boring but anything that is sustainable and reliable takes genuine effort, commitment and mindfulness. For those folks who have their Sun, Moon or Ascendant on or close to 4 degrees of Virgo will be most impacted by this critical new moon. Expect major new beginnings connected to efficiency, order and the nitty gritty details of life. August 2022 is a month where major shifts of consciousness are possible. An awakening of what is truly important and meaningful is what this next month holds. While some people will have to get major wake up calls around what is truly worthy of their time and energy, others will surrender to it with more ease and grace.
