This week we are taking time to recognize our Multidisciplinary Team. This group of people is made up of all the best local resources - Law Enforcement Officers, Forensic Nurses, Prosecutors, Child Protective Services, and more. We could not do the work here at Scotty's House if it were not for our awesome Partners. They provide safety, compassion and support to each child, while helping to bring together all the necessary resources to hopefully bring resolution and begin the process of healing.

We are proud to have an exceptional Multidisciplinary Team here in the Brazos Valley! đź’™

Thank you to all our Multidisciplinary Team Members who joined us today for our annual educational Symposium! We had the opportunity to bring together over 90+ incredible people for a day of learning, networking and collaborating.

Our attendees also had the chance to hear from our Keynote Speaker, Kevin Mulcahy, a survivor of child sexual abuse and former federal prosecutor who dedicated his career to fighting for justice on behalf of children. His overlapping background with our MDT made his powerful story and professional insight inspiring and a great reminder to everyone why the work we do is so vital.

We are proud to have Alison Pourteau on our team, our Director of Clinical Services, who specializes in trauma therapy. She is an incredible community resource and her work with the children and families here at Scotty's House is invaluable.

Together, our Scotty's House and MDT Teams have one focus: The children who come through our doors. Ensuring that they are heard, cared for, encouraged and loved is the basis of all our processes and services.

Ashleigh, our Forensic Interview Supervisor, could not encompass the hard work that happens here at Scotty's House any better, and we are truly grateful and honored to have staff like her here for the children who come to see us.

We are able to make our full focus on the children who come through our doors thanks to our incredible Multidisciplinary Team. Sheriff Kirk and our local law enforcement members have offered a sense of safety and security for our clients that can never be ignored.

We will not be able to erase the reason a child had to come to Scotty's House, but our Staff and MDT Partners can ensure that their future is brighter and better moving forward.

While finances are not always the piece of a nonprofit organization that wants to be discussed, it is the foundation of how we are able to keep our doors open and provide the services needed for the children here at Scotty’s House.

We are incredibly thankful for Sustaining Partners who continuously show up for us with support, love, and financial assistance. There is a huge financial piece to offering the services that we do and not charging the families who come to us. These partners and members of our community who donate allow our Staff to provide the necessary services and care, without having to add extra stress to the families at Scotty's House.
