At Holiday Bluebird Estates, a mother and daughter share something special: One calls the community home, and the other found her professional fit.
Abby, the community's Engage Life Coordinator, brings creativity and heart to every activity she leads. From painting to glass art, Abby creates a space where self-expression matters more than perfection. As she often reminds residents, there’s “no such thing as bad art” – participation is what counts.
Watching Abby in her role is especially meaningful for her mom, Alicia, who has called Bluebird Estates home for more than a year. Alicia beams with pride as she sees her daughter connect with residents, encourage creativity and build genuine relationships. “She’s very good at what she does,” Alicia shares, noting Abby’s natural talent and her ability to work with people of all ages.
For Abby, the best part of her job is simple: the residents – including her mom. She says she learns something from each person every day, and that sense of mutual care is felt throughout the community.
