Vuity is an FDA approved drop by Allergan
To manage age related presbyopia (blurry near vision) 🤓😍.
This eye drop works very well in patients who wear reading glasses or “cheaters”/ over the counter readers.
It is dosed as a once a day eye drop.

Some quick answers to FAQ’s:
👁Are we still accepting new patients: Yes ✅

😷 Do we have to wear a face mask: Yes ✅ and expect to get your temperature checked as you arrive, hands sanitized and our socially distanced waiting room.

🚗 Can we wait in our car for our appointment: Yes ✅ We ask patients not to arrive too early before their appointment. When you arrive, you can come up or call & asked to be checked in and “if” we’re running behind, we can call your cell with update on when you can come up.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦How many people allowed in exam room? Only you and your doctor. If you are coming with your child, you may come into their exam and will be advised where you can stand/sit to allow proper spacing. You will also be asked to wear facemask, have temp checked and hands sanitized.

🧼How often do you clean? 24/7!! The exam room is thoroughly sanitized before you come in (wipe downs take time to dry, hence it’s done before you come into room). Every surface that was touched, gets wiped down, including handles, chairs, etc. Dr. V washes her hands and puts on fresh gloves in front of you. She removes them when exam is over and re-sanitizes. All common areas are thoroughly wiped down also. Bathrooms stocked with soap/ towels and sanitizer.

⌛️Are wait times longer: No ✅ We’ve been working hard to make it flow smoothly. If we are running late, you will be informed!

💻Are you still doing telemed: Yes, absolutely ✅
If you need refills, have an urgency & fear coming in. Call and request a telemed consult!

Good afternoon!

Just an update reminder. We are providing emergency eye care and telemedicine consults for those who need it! Just contact our office to schedule a telemedicine consultation! DO NOT head to emergency rooms or urgent cares with pink eye, styes, etc. ****This is extended to ALL patients whether established or new. We can help you!****

Few points below:

* If you need emergency care, call us...any time, any day and let us know you need to have a telemedicine consult with Dr. Vigario!
*If you have broken or need a replacement pair of glasses and are a patient... call us and we can extend your prescription and send to the nearest open optical.

*If you are low on contact lenses and need a new supply. Call us and we can have them ordered and shipped to you. If you need an extension on the contact lens prescription, we can extend as long as the doctor deems safe to.

*If you need refill on your medications, call us!! DO NOT GO WITHOUT your drops. This is especially important for our glaucoma and anterior segment disease patients. We've come a long way with treatment, we can not let this deter us.

Response to COVID-19:
Dr. Vigario is in office seeing patients. We have strict cleaning guidelines regardless of COVID but are even more stringent now. We ask that during this time you understand if any wait times are elongated due to our cleaning policy after every patient. Our staff is being monitored very closely for any symptoms.

We do have a few guidelines we would like to follow to keep all our patients, staff and doctors as healthy as possible:
~ Wash your hands!! Avoid touching your face: eyes, nose, mouth.
~ Do not bring foods to your appoint nor eat in the waiting area.
~ If you are sick, stay home!! Cold, flu, etc.
~ Cover your coughs!
~ If you are quarantined due to potential exposure. Please stay HOME!
~ If you have a cough, fever, fatigue etc you must inform office staff before you are seen!We suggest calling ahead.
~If you are immune-compromised, 65+ with multiple medical issues etc. We suggest letting us know before your appointment if its an urgency you must be seen. We can have you wait in your car until your time to be called in to minimize exposure to other patients.
~ Caution with contact lens usage during this period. Contacts can cause some dryness/ irritation and makes people more predisposed to touching their eyes. COVID can be transimitted via exposure to the eyes. Glasses can provide a barrier to secretions from coughs and sneezes.
~ We are taking telemedicine calls for any patients who would prefer this!! Let us know by calling 732-381-3740 and we can set it up!
