Today’s kids are growing up in a world of constant stimulation—and many children’s shows reflect that with:

Fast cuts.
Loud sound effects.
Constant motion.

That kind of content hijacks a toddler’s dopamine system and keeps their nervous system stuck in “on.” But then everyone acts surprised when the screen turns off and the meltdown starts. Toddlers don’t have the ability to regulate stimulation, you decide what trains their brain.

Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean your body should stop moving! Staying active during the winter is important for:

Circulation and heart health
Boosting mood and fighting seasonal fatigue
Maintaining joint mobility and muscle strength
Supporting your immune system

Here are some ways to stay active even when it’s chilly:

❄️ Indoor Movement Options

- Bodyweight exercises: squats, lunges, push-ups, planks
- Yoga or stretching routines: keeps joints mobile and improves flexibility
- Resistance bands: great for strength training without heavy equipment
- Dance or movement videos: fun and gets the heart rate up
- Stair climbing: even a few flights at home or in your building can help
- Mini-trampoline (rebounder): gentle on joints and great for circulation

❄️ Home & Office Movement Hacks

- Stand up and stretch every 30–60 minutes
- Walk in place during TV commercials
- Do calf raises while brushing your teeth or cooking

Meal prep this week with 4 ingredients, no flour, and healthy enough for breakfast!

High-Protein Blueberry Breakfast Cookies

Ingredients
• 2 cups rolled oats
• 1 cup Greek yogurt (for extra protein)
• 1/2 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
• 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

Instructions
1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Mix Wet Ingredients:
In a large mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt and honey/maple syrup. Stir until smooth.

3. Add Dry Ingredients:
Mix in the rolled oats until fully combined. Gently fold in the blueberries.

4. Shape the Cookies:
Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the dough and place them onto the prepared baking sheet. Flatten slightly to form cookie shapes.

5. Bake:
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown on the edges.

6. Cool and Serve:
Let the cookies cool on a wire rack. Enjoy a healthy, protein-packed breakfast or snack!
