One of the most common things we hear is neck pain and stiffness — and a big contributor today is something we all do… looking down at our phones.
This posture, often called “text neck,” places extra strain on the muscles, joints, and discs in the neck. The farther your head tilts forward, the heavier it becomes for your spine to support.

Over time this can lead to:
• Tight shoulders and upper back
• Headaches or migraines
• Reduced range of motion
• Numbness or tingling in arms/hands
• Chronic neck tension and pain

Ways to reduce neck strain:
• Raise your phone up to eye level instead of dropping your head down
• Take posture breaks every 20–30 minutes
• Sit tall with shoulders relaxed, not rounded
• Use supportive pillows while sleeping
• Stay active and move your spine daily

Simple stretches that help:
• Chin Tucks: Gently pull your chin straight back to align ears over shoulders. Hold 5 seconds, repeat 8–10 times.
• Upper Trap Stretch: Tilt ear toward shoulder until you feel a stretch on the opposite side. Hold 20–30 seconds each side.
• Shoulder Rolls: Roll shoulders backward slowly 10–15 times.
• Chest Opener: Clasp hands behind your back and gently lift arms while opening the chest.

Small posture changes and daily movement can make a big difference. Your neck was designed to move — not to stay stuck looking down all day!
