All around our community this weekend, fall festivities are beginning — hayrides, costumes, pumpkin patches, and the first hints of Halloween fun.
For many, these traditions bring joy and togetherness. But for others, they may also stir tender memories and longing for those who aren’t here to share in the season.
If you find yourself caught between smiles and tears, know that it’s okay to hold both. Grief and joy often walk hand in hand — especially during times filled with family, tradition, and love.
Take things gently this weekend. Pause for a moment of remembrance, light a candle, or do something small in honor of the one you miss. Their presence lives quietly in every season.
