Credit to Some slides from the under construction Cities Illustrated Los Angeles Map.

The map will show all rail transit and all bus >15 min freq. lines. LA has a lot of these so this map is going to be insane.

These slides feature the San Bernardino Line (denoted as MB in brown)

The San Bernardino Line is a heavy rail commuter railroad line connecting the inland empire with Union Station in LA. Part of the line, mainly sections shown on slides 3 and 4 uses a single track ROW in the median of I10 which is such a north America moment.

I'm not sure if this section can be upgraded or even how but Metrolink does have plans to upgrade most of its track to allow for increased frequencies - in line with overall plans to prioritize California rail.

Also the San Bernardino Line will be your likely first leg of the future "LA" to Las Vegas HSR line. The line will begin in Rancho Cucamonga, about 90 mins east of union station on the SB line.

FROM THE BLOCK TO THE TABLE out now!

A portion of all Book proceeds will go towards establishing the Foundation of a 501(c)3 Black-led nonprofit organization committed to empowering historically underserved farmers in California. The vision is a food system where BIPOC farmers have equitable opportunities to programs that secure land tenure, build generational security and equitable access to agricultural resources. This will be achieved through facilitating cooperative economics among participating farmers to share land, costs, skills, tools, equipment, housing, and infrastructure.

The biggest, most transformative transit project in the country just took one big step forward today!

Today, the Metro Planning and Programming Committee voted to move forward Modified Alternative 5 as the Locally Preferred Alternative for the Sepulveda Transit Corridor. This is a big deal for LA and brings us one step closer to getting this project approved and over the finish line!

But the Metro Board still needs to hear from you!

Be sure to provide your input and email the Metro Board Clerk at 📧 boardclerk@metro.net and let them know you support the alternative that creates jobs, drives revenue, cuts greenhouse gas emissions, and most importantly: makes sure Angelenos don’t have to get on the 405!
