In honor of National Diabetes Awareness Month, guest speaker Stacy Pierre will present “Mental Well-being and Diabetes: A Whole Person, Community-Centered Approach to Prevention.”

This month, we’re highlighting how mental health challenges like anxiety and depression can increase the risk for diabetes—and why promoting whole-person, stigma-free care matters more than ever. 💙

November is Diabetes Awareness Month!

FDOH-St Lucie and UF/IFAS are hosting a 4-sessions cooking series called “Dining with Diabetes” that will educate participants on the benefits of cooking, growing, and preserving their own food.

Dates: Mondays October 27, November 3, 10, and 17

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Cost: $25 (Scholarships available)

Location: UF/IFAS Extension St. Lucie County (8400 Picos Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34945)
