Know your rights and where to access resources!

Stalking needs to be taken seriously and acted upon quickly.

From SPARC - Stalking Prevention, Awareness & Resource Center, victims can follow these general tips:
1️⃣ Trust your instincts. Victims of stalking often feel pressured by friends or family to downplay the stalker’s behavior, but stalking poses a real threat of harm.
2️⃣Call the police if you feel you are in any immediate danger. Explain why the stalker’s actions are causing you to be afraid.
3️⃣Keep a record or log of each contact with the stalker. Pictures and video taken with smart phones automatically embed time and location data. Be sure to also document any calls to police reports.
4️⃣Save evidence when possible. Stalkers often use technology to contact their victims. Save all emails, text messages, photos, and postings on social networking sites as evidence of the stalking behavior.
5️⃣Get connected with a local victim service provider that can assist you in exploring your options as well as discussing safety planning. In New Jersey this is the New Jersey Domestic Violence Hotline, 1 (800) 572-SAFE (7233). Also, call your local police.

Today marks the first day of winter, a season that invites us to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the warmth we find in one another. ❄️💛

As the days grow colder, we are reminded how important it is to stay connected — to offer kindness, compassion, and support to the youth, families, and communities we proudly serve. Winter may bring quiet moments, but within those moments we find strength, resilience, and the beauty of new beginnings.

At TCCMO, our work continues with heart, purpose, and gratitude for every person who walks this journey with us. May this season bring peace, hope, and the gentle reminder that even in the coldest months, we are never alone.

Warm wishes on the First Day of Winter — from TCCMO to YOU! ❄️💛✨
