Our Story

Health Motion specializes in manual physical therapy making it a unique hands on clinic in Grand Rapids. We work with patients who have a demand for fast and effective results. While our approach was designed for athletes, it works very well with patients of all ages and ability levels. This is due to our very individualized treatment approach called the Scale of Function which handles each person uniquely based on their injury and goals. Health Motion has been serving the Grand Rapids community for over 25 years. Our founder, Rob Collewijn, was initially trained as a PT in the Netherlands, bringing a very holistic and unique approach to physical therapy with him to Grand Rapids. Through intense study, research and clinical testing Rob created the Scale of Function. This innovative approach to manual physical therapy is the driving force behind the thousands of successful patients we have had over the years.

All therapists at Health Motion receive extensive training in manual therapy, and all patients receive one on one individualized attention. Results are the focus and restored function is achieved as the whole team works to help patients achieve their goals.
