I LOVE my clients so very much! And I don’t mean because they are able to do challenging shapes and poses on the water… but because they love to challenge themselves. Step out of their comfort zone. Try something new. They’re willing to be humbled and childlike. Our time together on the water is an opportunity to release conditioned perceptions of who they are and what they may or may not be capable of. It’s also a moment for us to simply relax into our present experience, exactly as it is. No need to shift, change, or fix anything. 💗

I love my clients, and I am so grateful for them every single day. 🐠🙏🏼💦

Lots of new friends lately so I thought I’d say hello And introduce myself! 👋🏼

I’m a sun loving child of the 60s (I swear I reincarnated straight outta Woodstock- I’ve always felt a deep longing and pull towards those days), born in the 80s, just doing my best to live in harmony with nature and embody joy and love. ❤️

👇🏼Here are some lesser known random facts about me!

1. I love ALL sorts of music, but prefer the classics (same w cars) - The Beatles and Zeppelin are my all time faves; also love reggae, 90’s alt rock (wtf happened to alternative?!), old school hip hop & rap, new wave, oldies (& I mean 30s-60s!), big band, bossa nova. Can’t stand country. 🎶
2. Billy Idol is my celeb crush, Adam Sandler and Sam Rockwell follow close behind.
3. I took ice skating lessons as a child and still fancy myself a decent skater!⛸
4. As a kiddo I saved wormies from the sidewalk after rain storms - I’ve always had a deep love & respect for ALL forms of life (yes even spiders & mosquitoes) 🐛
5. I was a self proclaimed lacto-ovo vegetarian from 11-14. My partner & I have now been mostly plant-based/vegan for the last 9 years (we very rarely eat a bite of sushi or some accidental cheese, and I do still eat responsibly sourced honey).
6. W/ both my sun & moon in Virgo, let me tell you it can be ROUGH! I’m extremely particular, perhaps even hard to please at times. I hold myself to an unreasonable standard, & can be just as expecting of others. But I swear, I only seek perfection for the betterment of life & happiness for all!😆 I truly am working to relax & remember perfection doesn’t exist!
7. On the other hand, I’m super goofy & silly, but it takes me some time to warm up to new folks & truly expose my natural weirdo. I’m pretty outgoing, & easily make friends w strangers, yet I’m paradoxically quite shy and introverted. Public speaking has always been tough...but I could also work the hell out of a crowd behind the bar 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️
8. I worked service industry and bartended for so long, and I think that’s what brought me out of my shell. I was quite the party animal for years, until I realized how great it feels to treat my body nicely (cont’d in comments)

This upcoming Monday (the 21st) marks the beginning of another cycle of Morning Sadhana, our community deep dive into breath work, meditation, and the beauty of living with the flow of the seasons—and with the pace of the world.

This practice began in response to a massive sense of global change, and continues to be a portal that guides us back to ourselves and our breath.
+
We’re so happy to be offering another round of sadhana, which is considered to be a sacred daily offering—of the self, and to the self. Within this cycle of morning ritual, we will go a little deeper, wandering through the vast expanses of the inner mind, and finding balance with the change of the seasons.
+
This practice requires no experience with pranayama, yoga, or meditation, and will come with reference pages to explore before embarking.

As many of you know I was suuuper bummed when we had to cancel our SUP yoga season due to Covid. Welp guess what?! We are back baby! We’ve worked it out and I will soon be offering SUP sessions for groups and privates and I CAN’T FREAKING WAIT!! 💦

There is nothing quite as magical as yoga under the sun while floating gracefully atop the water, and I am stoked! I seriously wait all winter long for this. And I know you’ll love it too! 🐠☀️

☀️Happy July sweet friends! If you haven’t heard yet, is a movement to create awareness around the GINORMOUS plastic problem we are facing in these modern times. Can you imagine living without plastic? Well we did for a veeeerrry loooong time up until 1907 when Belgian-American chemist Leo Baekeland created Bakelite, the first real synthetic, mass-produced plastic. In the 1950’s plastic was touted as the material of the future, Disneyland even showcased an ultramodern home made entirely of plastic. It was to be a modern miracle. Fast forward to present day - and while the invention of plastic has created some very useful tools, we are literally swimming in non biodegradable waste that will take eons to degrade (over many years plastic will degrade into smaller micro-particles, but it will never truly go away).

We have come to rely on the convenience and ease of a plastic filled world, but at what cost? It is choking our natural world, the wildlife, and in fact humans as well! Plastic particles have recently been found to be growing as within produce crops….yes, it is actually being absorbed into our foods. And if you eat fish, you can bet your ass you are ingesting a ton of plastic particles along with the flesh.

➡️ I am incredibly excited to help guide your journey towards lessening your plastic consumption - I’ve made huge strides myself in this endeavor, but let me tell you, I can definitely do more. All month I’ll be highlighting various ways to easily make the switch to more environmentally friendly options! It’s not about perfection, it’s making the decision and just starting somewhere. Did you know that much of modern disease can be traced to stress and tension within our mental, emotional, and physical bodies? 🚨 Stress is so prevalent in our daily live we may not even realize the impact it has on our health, we’ve come to see it as “normal.” We are chronically exhausted and over stimulated. YIN YOGA is a style of yoga in which we work the deep tissues (ligaments, joints, fascia), energy-body and mind-body, and is complimentary to your yang practice (the more active muscular form). This practice is slow paced, with longer holds in the asanas (poses), and will relax and calm your mind and body, improve your immune system, and decrease stress levels. 😌

YOGA NIDRA is the science of relaxation which aims to ease the muscular, emotional, and mental tensions that arise in our daily lives. It is said that a single hour of yoga nidra is as restful as four hours of conventional sleep! After our 45m yin practice, you’ll get comfortable in savasana (co**se pose) and I‘ll guide you to a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping. This yogic practice is very potent and has innumerable benefits including relaxation, improved sleep, improved functioning of nervous and endocrine systems, cell regeneration, decreased anxiety, and improved mood!

Hello sweet friends!👋🏼

You may or may not know that about a year ago I put my Integrative Health Coaching practice on a bit of a hiatus so that I could focus on expanding my knowledge as a yoga teacher. I wanted to give myself the space to really dive into my 500 hour Prana Vinyasa Teacher training and focus my attention and effort.

Now that I’ve completed my training, I’m realizing how much I truly miss also guiding clients toward a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. Those of you who know me well (or have followed me for awhile) know how passionate I am about nutrition, yoga, Ayurveda, sustainability, and wellness in general! Soooooo I am incredibly excited to announce that I’ve decided to partner with an amazing group of coaches online, where I can continue helping clients from home, support myself in this new and uncertain time, and also do some things I’m really passionate about. I’m so excited about what I’m going to be sharing with you online, so keep your eyes peeled. Now, more than ever, I think it’s so important to not only keep our immune systems strong, but also support and uplift one another! And it is my greatest joy to support you in any way I am able. 🙏🏻

☀️Hello darlings, it’s happening! I’ve got some virtual offerings for you in these next few days, and I would love for you to join online! Tomorrow (Sat, 3/21) you can join us via Zoom for a Yin practice through YogaPod SouthGlenn at 12:00p and a Prana Vinyasa All Levels Flow through Maha Soul at 6:00p. Aaaaahh, big collective sigh. Truly riding the waves of emotion. Yesterday was such a great day, I felt positive, uplifted, & hopeful…then today I somehow (I have a pretty good idea how…) spiraled into doubt and sadness and grief. Just letting myself experience the spectrum, without grasping too much at any idea of how I should be feeling. It’s funny, I have SO much I can sink my attention into at home, but like a petulant child…I don’t wanna☹️. These are strange and unprecedented times indeed, and I’m honestly excited that the old systems and paradigms which were no longer working are starting to crumble. We are on the precipice of massive change, life will never be the same. And I must say, I have felt an INCREDIBLE outpouring of love and support from sooo many in my community and beyond. I feel absolutely blessed and held in these tender moments. I hope to offer that same love and support for those around me💗.

I fully believe there is more than meets the eye with this pandemic. I won’t get into that here, however I encourage you to dig a little deeper, and for god/godess’ sake, stop watching the fu***ng news! Almost all of the top media outlets are controlled by the same people, that want to instill fear and keep the masses suppressed (cough* Bilderberg Group* cough). Don’t let the fear or the uncertainty get to you, we will make it through this; like a butterfly emerging from her cacoon, sometimes growth and change is painful, yet necessary. 🦋

Yes there is panic buying.

Yes there is even death.
But,
They say that in Wuhan after so many years of noise
You can hear the birds again.
They say that after just a few weeks of quiet

People are singing to each other

Is offering free meals and delivery to the housebound.
Today a young woman I know
is busy spreading fliers with her number

So that the elders may have someone to call on.
Today Churches, Synagogues, Mosques and Temples
are preparing to welcome
and shelter the homeless, the sick, the weary

To how big we really are.

Join Devon Sweeney and guest teachers Zaidy Charrón and Sarah Shaw for a unique 200/300 Hour Teacher Training program in the style of Prana Vinyasa Yoga.

We begin our training with Embodying the Flow and the Art of Namaskar, two introductory modules that teach the principle Namaskars and practice methods of Prana Vinyasa theory. 200 Hour Students will then complete 4 weekends of Elemental Vinyasa, building on the skills and theories of their first 60 hours to explore the 5 elements in vinyasa practice. Students will be well-versed in hands on assists, technical alignment, yogic philosophy, subtle body and somatic theory.

Students enrolling in this advanced 200 hour are recommended to have at least 2 years of asana practice in their bodies.
+
300 Hour Teachers will enjoy 3 more weekends totaling 90 more hours to deepen their teachings skills, including a special “300 Hour Teaching Lab” weekend designed to strengthen and support their upper level teaching skills. The Prana Vinyasa teacher training module, Lunar Prana Vinyasa will wrap up this incredible training.

All students will learn the Foundational Namaskars and the Elemental Namaskars finishing the 200+300 Hour Program with a total of 15 namaskars to teach and practice.

This upper level teacher training program is designed intentionally to serve both 200 hour and 300 hour certification levels.
