Our next 'What's-Your-Win' comes from Carly and the team at our Orland Park center 👏

Carly shared how her team recently came together to support one of their kiddos as he prepared for an upcoming event. They practiced, prepped, and made sure he felt ready every step of the way… and of course, they celebrated the win together 💛

Because when you’re a part of The Place, you gain a whole cheerleading squad behind your family. Your child’s success matters deeply to us.

At The Place, celebration and community are not extras, they are essential to how we deliver care. We celebrate every step forward, big or small, and we do it together.

That sense of support, connection, and shared wins is what makes the experience so meaningful for our families and our teams 💛

Less than a year ago, we launched our After School Program with one goal in mind, to create a space where children could continue building skills beyond the classroom in a way that feels supportive, connected, and meaningful.

Today, we’re seeing that vision come to life, and it’s all because of our incredible teams on the ground. 👏

Every day, our staff support each child as they transition from their school day into an environment designed to reinforce what they’re learning in the classroom using play-based, individualized ABA strategies to make learning stick.

Because it’s the little things that make the biggest difference 💛
✨ Reinforcing academic skills in a way that feels engaging and achievable
✨ Learning how to be a learner in the classroom
✨ Communicating wants and needs
✨ Navigating change and transitions
✨ Following schedules and completing tasks

This program was intentionally designed to bring everyone together, including families, home, center teams, and school staff, so that support feels consistent, collaborative, and impactful.

And that’s exactly what’s happening. We’re doing it. 💫

To our After School Program teams, thank you for showing up, leading with care, and making a difference every single day.

At our Orland Park center, Autism Acceptance Month has turned into an adventure 🏝️💙

Throughout April, our learners are diving into Survivor-themed activities and games, building teamwork, confidence, and connection every step of the way.

We were inspired by Survivor’s first contestant on the autism spectrum, Eva Erikson (Season 48), and wanted to bring that spirit of inclusion and resilience right into our center.

So far, our kiddos have created their own tribe names and worked together to design team flags and let’s just say, the creativity and teamwork have been amazing.

This is what our culture looks like at The Place. Intentional, collaborative, and centered around helping every child play, grow, and thrive.

From ABA to the classroom 💙

There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a child grow in confidence and reach new milestones.

One of our families recently shared their excitement as their child prepares to transition from ABA therapy into school; a moment filled with pride, progress, and possibility.

At The Place, this is what it’s all about.
Helping children play, grow, and thrive so they’re ready for what’s next.

What’s Your Win Wednesday 💙

Shoutout to Kayleigh from our Outreach team for making a big impact this week!

Kayleigh supported a family relocating to Illinois who was searching for ABA therapy services and helped guide them all the way through to enrollment. Moving is a lot. Navigating services shouldn’t be.

At The Place, our Outreach team is here to make it feel easy. We take the lead on collaborating with your child’s healthcare team and insurance to gather everything needed so your family can focus on what matters most.

Wishing you had someone to answer every question and simplify the process?
We get it. We got you.

Little hands. Big messages of acceptance 💙

We created these autism acceptance coloring sheets as a small way to spread something big.

Because every child deserves to feel included.
Every child deserves kindness.
And every child deserves reminders that they are amazing exactly as they are.

Our kiddos on the spectrum deserve spaces where they can grow, express themselves, and truly bloom 🌼

These free coloring pages are designed to bring messages of inclusion, confidence, and acceptance into homes, classrooms, and communities.

Acceptance is not just something we talk about. It is something we practice in the small, everyday moments.

This craft is a reminder that acceptance lives in how we show up for one another.

Here are 3 meaningful ways to turn awareness into action:

💙 Respect different ways of communicating
Not every child communicates the same way. Giving space, patience, and support makes all the difference.

💙 Celebrate progress in all forms
Big or small, every step forward matters. Progress looks different for every child and that is something to honor.

💙 Support families with empathy
A kind word, flexibility, and understanding can go a long way in helping families feel seen and supported.

At The Place, we are committed to creating environments where children can learn, grow, and feel accepted for exactly who they are.

WHAT’S YOUR WIN WEDNESDAY ✨ ft. Dr. Jessica Gruber

At The Place, we believe the best care starts with investing in our people.

And yes…we bring the FUN too 🎉
From Outer Place to Placeopoly, this crew shows up with creativity, connection, and a whole lot of heart.

- For our families, this means your child is supported by a team that is constantly learning and growing!
- For our RBTs, it means learning from some of the BEST clinicians in the field!
- For future BCBAs at The Place, it means stepping into a team that truly invests in you!

We are already gearing up for our best year yet and we cannot wait 💫

You heard it here first from Colin, BCBA at Lake in the Hills!

Our Student Analysts (SBAs) and BCBAs? It’s more than supervision… it’s real partnership. Mentorship, laughter, problem-solving, celebrating wins (big and small)… all of it.

Across our centers, our SBAs are learning, growing, and being poured into by leaders who truly care. And it shows in the culture, the energy, and the clinical excellence we bring every day.

If you’re looking for a place where you’re supported, challenged, and surrounded by people who want to see you win…

This might just be The Place 😉

LIGHT IT UP BLUE 💙

Today we showed up in blue but what matters most is how we show up every day.

At The Place, acceptance isn’t a campaign. It’s our culture.

It’s the way our teams connect, support, and advocate for every child and family.
It’s the energy in our centers, the collaboration across teams, and the love behind the work.

We are fueled by our mission and surrounded by people who care deeply about going beyond awareness and into true acceptance.

To our team… this is what it looks like because of you. Thank you for showing up the way you do every single day.

And if you’re looking to be part of a team that leads with heart and purpose… we’re growing. 💙

We’re ALL IN for Autism Acceptance 💙

April is Autism Acceptance Month and at The Place, acceptance isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we live, every single day.

This month, we’re inviting our community to join us in being ALL IN for acceptance, inclusion, progress, and advocacy.

Here are 3 simple ways you can help educate and encourage autism acceptance this month:

1. Lead with understanding
Take time to learn, listen, and meet individuals where they are. Acceptance starts with empathy.

2. Celebrate the wins
Big or small...progress looks different for every child. Recognize and share those meaningful moments.

3. Be an advocate in everyday moments
Use your voice to create inclusive spaces, challenge misconceptions, and support others in understanding autism.

At The Place, we see acceptance in motion through connection, play, and progress and we’re proud to partner with some of the best parents and their incredible kiddos every single day.

We’re ALL IN. Are you?

Today we’re celebrating the physicians who help change lives every day 💙

We’re so grateful for the doctors who recognize the unique needs of every child on the spectrum and support families with care, compassion, and expertise.

Together, we partner to support each child’s journey, helping ensure access to high-quality, clinically driven ABA therapy that allows children to grow, learn, and thrive.

We see your impact in the progress our children make and the confidence our families gain.

Thank you for being part of the journey and for all that you do!

Challenge accepted… and crushed 🐣💪

Our cross-functional teams came together to stuff 400 eggs with fun, non-food goodies—because inclusion matters in every detail.

Did we do it in under 15 minutes?
Yep. 10 minutes and 14 seconds later… DONE.

We love partnering with local park districts to help events feel more inclusive, accessible, and fun for every child and family.

ABA therapy is so much more than people think.

It’s not just one skill or one goal—it’s the building blocks of everyday life.

From communication…
to play…
to independence…
to emotional regulation…

These are the skills that help children feel confident, capable, and ready for the world around them.

In this video, our team shares just some of the skills children can learn through ABA therapy—and why early intervention can make such a meaningful difference.

Because when we start early, we’re not just teaching skills…
we’re opening doors.

✨ Here are just a few of the skills children can master with the right support.

Did someone say… DUCK HUNT?! 🦆

Our teams had a blast searching high and low for our festive little friends during Spirit Week, because who doesn’t love a little friendly competition, especially with fun prizes on the line 👀

✨ Featuring moments from our Orland Park, Aurora, and HQ teams

At The Place, we take weeks like Spirit Week seriously. We’re not afraid to bring the joy and make the joy happen.

Because while we’re collecting data, celebrating progress, and supporting one another daily, we’re also building a culture that’s fun, connected, and full of life.

Even if it means getting a little quacktastic along the way 🦆💙

Sometimes the smallest moments say the most about a team!

During recent safety training, our team paused for a quick photo together and it turned into a moment that reminded us why this work matters so much.

In the second photo, one of our newer behavior technicians shared how meaningful it was to have a moment with our CEO. It was a small interaction, but one that reflected the kind of culture we strive to build at The Place.

It was shared that seeing leadership take the time to connect with staff meant a lot. Moments like that reflect what we strive to build at The Place: a team that shows up for each other the same way we show up for the children and families we serve.

Many of our therapists come to this work because of personal experiences, passions, and a deep belief that every child deserves the support to grow, communicate, and thrive. When we invest in training, collaboration, and strong support systems for our team, the impact reaches far beyond our walls.

And when a group of passionate people comes together with a shared mission, incredible things can happen for the kiddos we serve every day.

Shared with permission from a member of our team.

🍀 We’re feeling pretty lucky around here.

Our centers are getting crafty as we lead up to St. Patrick’s Day, and our little artists have been hard at work creating shamrocks, rainbows, and plenty of paint-covered masterpieces along the way.

At The Place, creativity is more than just a fun activity. Arts and crafts become opportunities to practice communication, follow directions, build fine motor skills, and learn how to navigate days that feel a little different from the usual routine. Holidays and seasons give us a chance to celebrate, explore, and grow together.

And let’s be honest… sometimes they also give us an excuse to get a little messy and a little silly too.

Because therapy here still looks like childhood.
Painting. Creating. Laughing. Learning.

Turns out when learning can be found all around, we are pretty lucky to be the ones watching our kiddos’ skills grow every day. 🍀

13/03/2026

Joy is part of the process. Our play-based ABA therapy helps children build skills while having fun along the way!

What’s Your Win Wednesday

We’re kicking off a new series where our team takes turns sharing their wins of the week. And this one is worth celebrating.

Our regional trainer is giving a huge shoutout to our newest Behavior Technicians who just achieved a 100% pass rate on their RBT exams after completing our hands-on training program.

At The Place, we take onboarding seriously. Every new hire goes through a 3-week training program designed to prepare them to deliver the level of clinical excellence our families expect and our children deserve.

For our families, that means confidence knowing the people working with your child are trained, supported, and held to a high standard.

For those looking to join our team, it means you will be set up for success from day one.

We are incredibly proud of this team and grateful for the care they bring to the children and families we serve every day.

At The Place for Children with Autism, we know great therapy starts with great people.

Because the truth is, if we want our ABA therapy to be full of play, celebration, encouragement, and meaningful growth for our kiddos, we have to bring that energy every single day.

We hire professionals who work hard, collaborate, and show up for our children and families. Just as importantly, we bring on individuals who know how to spark joy, engage with each other, and create the kind of environment where kids can learn, grow, and succeed.

When our teams feel connected, supported, and energized, that positivity shows up in every session, every high five, and every milestone our kids achieve.

Welcome to the team! We cannot wait to see the impact you will make at The Place. ✨

Daylight Saving Time is here!

Clocks “spring forward” at 2:00 AM, which means we lose an hour of sleep. While that extra daylight is exciting, it can take a few days for our bodies (and our kiddos!) to adjust.

If this week feels a little off, that’s completely normal. Give yourself and your child a little extra grace as routines shift.

Here are a few tips to help make the transition smoother:
1. Shift bedtime gradually- Move bedtime 10–15 minutes earlier for the next few nights.
2. Keep routines consistent- Try to stick with your child’s familiar bedtime routines.
3. Get outside during the day- Natural sunlight helps reset our internal clocks.
4. Build in flexibility- Some children may feel more tired or dysregulated while adjusting.
5. Give it time- Most families find things settle back into rhythm within a few days.

At The Place for Children with Autism, we know how important routine is for children. We're here cheering you on as everyone adjusts to the new schedule this week!
Need additional tips or support at home during this transition? Reach out to your child’s BCBA for additional caregiver support and strategies.

We get it. We got you.
