Feeling this today. After years of playing soccer and being a runner my hamstrings are permanently tight. Even after years of yoga and a pretty consistent daily practice it prevents me from obtaining mastery over some poses I’ve been working on for years. But it’s about the process, the journey, the slow and steady growth. When I stated yoga I couldn’t touch my toes, now I can, and so much more! Be steady, be strong, be brave and never give up on yourself or your dreams!

Our Story

Namaste, I am Lauren and welcome to YOGA with Lauren! My yoga journey started over 15 years ago when I was a beginner student looking for relief from lower back and hip pain caused from many years of playing competitive soccer. Not only did yoga provide me with the relief I was looking for physically, I also began to notice the more subtle benefits of a regular yoga practice. I was more relaxed, had more mental clarity, was gaining a better understanding of my own mind and body, and was finally building upper body strength! Since then, I have continued to seek out many different styles of yoga classes and workshops and eventually I decided to become a yoga teacher myself, so that I can share all this wonderful knowledge with you!

I completed my 200 hour YTT from Himalayan Yoga Bliss in Darjeeling, India high in the Himalayas. As one of the birth places of the yoga, I learned not only the principles of yoga asana (postures) but also the deep spiritual and philosophical beliefs behind this ancient practice. I am trained and have experience in teaching Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga.

Since completing my training I have had the opportunity to share this practice with students from around the world and here in the U.S. I believe yoga is for every BODY, no matter your age, race, religion, sexual orientation, or physical ability. There is something in yoga for you!

I offer small group, large group, corporate and one-on-one yoga sessions.
