National Pizza Week at Lamar School District !

Lamar celebrated in the best way possible—homemade calzones fresh from the kitchen! The team rolled dough, stuffed each calzone with gooey cheese and savory fillings, and baked them to golden perfection.

Students loved them, and we loved seeing the excitement around this fun National Pizza Week feature. Great job, Lamar kitchen crew!

Fordyce School District had two fun food moments recently!

📌 School Board Dinner
Chef Justin prepared a light, casual dinner for the Fordyce School Board—spinach artichoke dip, chicken salad on croissants, and a fresh fruit platter.

Chef Tory showcased our January Fruit of the Month with a taste of Mandarin Orange Ambrosia that students and staff enjoyed sampling.

Our 2026 Student Chef Showdown Finalists Are HERE!
After an incredible round of district competitions, six amazing student chefs are headed to the Final Showdown on April 10th!

Lakeside School District is keeping students cozy on these cold days!❄️

This team has been serving up some seriously comforting meals to warm everyone up:

Chili, Baked Potato & a Cinnamon Roll — the ultimate cold-weather combo

Bayou Butter-Basted Chicken, Pinto Beans, Turnip Greens, Fresh Fruit, Cornbread, and Milk

Students have been loving the hearty, home-style options, and we’ll keep the warm meals coming all winter long!

Dermott Public Schools Student Chef Showdown Winner!

A huge congratulations to DiQual Henley, 9th grader at Dermott High, for winning this year’s Student Chef Showdown! His standout dish — Lamb Hash with Strawberry Hot Honey Sauce*— wowed the judges with bold flavor and creativity.

But today isn’t just about one plate. It’s about the journey these students took.
Big applause to all of the participants!
Some of these students had never cooked before, and watching them grow in skill, confidence, and teamwork has been incredible. They stepped out of their comfort zones, learned fast, and put their hearts on the plate.

We’re proud of every single student who took on this challenge. Dermott has some amazing young chefs in the making!

Fiesta Day at Magnolia School District High School!

The Build Your Own Fiesta Bar was a huge hit!

Students enjoyed:

🍉 Fresh Fruit Variety & Aztec Fruit Salad

🥛 White & Chocolate Milk

The flavors were amazing, and the Magnolia High staff was absolutely wonderful!

January Fruit of the Month: Mandarin Oranges! 🍊

Chef Tory visited Harmony Grove School Cafeteria this week to let students sample our Mandarin Orange Ambrosia— and it was a hit!

Mandarin oranges are more than just sweet and easy to peel — they’re packed with:
🍊 Vitamin C to support immunity
🍊 Fiber for healthy digestion
🍊 Antioxidants that help protect the body
🍊 Natural sweetness with no added sugar

They’re the perfect bright, refreshing fruit for the winter months, and students loved learning (and tasting!) something new.

It paired perfectly with that day’s lunch menu: delicious spaghetti, green beans, a fresh green salad, and a warm breadstick.

Student Focus Group at Warren High School!

Today our Lumberjacks got a first taste of some exciting new recipes — and they did not hold back on the feedback!

Items tested: Island Fire Pizza, Lemon Hot Honey Wings, Garlic Parmesan Wings, and Sriracha Ranch

The students gave glowing reviews across the board and shared lots of great input to help us keep improving.

Island Fire Pizza is a sweet-and-spicy mix of ham, chicken, pineapple, banana peppers, and mozzarella on a whole-grain crust — all topped with our homemade Island Fire Sauce (sweet chili, teriyaki, honey, and a little kick of cayenne). Tropical, spicy, and so good.

Island Fire Pizza will be one of our February Menu Features, so students can look forward to seeing this delicious new recipe in the cafeteria soon!
